Bloomingdale is a quaint, quiet, neighborhood build in early 1900. My home is early modern. Local eateries include Crisp, Red Hen, El Camino, Boundary Stone and Grassroots Gourmet. Easily access the metro at the Howard station, 6 blocks away and where The Howard Theatre , U Street Music Hall, and Ben's Chili Bowl and many other wonderful places. You’ll love my home, the neighborhood, and the outdoors space. My home is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Guests will have access to the room, washer dryer on the same floor, main floor living room with a red baby grand, 65" LCD TV, dining room, full kitchen with cooking, spices, etc. And you will have access to the back patio areas with enclosed seating.

Spacious and confortable room with private bathroom in a nice, safe and quiet house. The room itself is located on the 2nd floor with 4 windows on the Avenue side, which is somewhat noisy because of heavy traffic (with trucks and buses). The house is conveniently located near a few restaurants, bakery, accommodation stores. It is a good 15-minutes walk from two metro stations (Shaw-Howard U station on the green line or Rhode Island Ave station on the red line). From the house on the corner of North Capitol Ave, bus #80 gets you downtown directly to Union station in 15 minutes (or 10 minutes in taxi, around 9$). The house is located in a residential area. Joe is the perfect host, very nice and accommodating, with excellent communication with his guests throughout the stay. Check-in and check-out were extremely easy. I recommend.

I stayed at Joe's on a business trip. The big room was perfect for me to work in. The bed is fantastic and it's really nice to have a private bathroom. Joe was great at communicating. Expect a good 15 minute walk to get to the metro.

Joe is a great host and the accommodations are terrific! Great restaurants nearby and pretty much everything you'd want to see is a relatively short Uber right away.

My stay at Joe's was unique, and it displayed the host's hospitality. The room that I stayed in happened to have an air conditioning problem where the unit was cycling off and on loudly. Joe was out of town but he sent someone to look at the unit, and it took care of the problem. He communicated with me throughout the trip and showed sincere interest in my comfort at his home. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to check with Joe beforehand about the room that is toward the front of the home -- Rhode Island Avenue can get some loud traffic depending on what's going on.

Joe's home is a great place to stay when exploring D.C. Lots of interesting reasonable place to eat around his home. He always had suggestions and made checking in and out very easy! I would be happy to return to Joe's home.
