A true gem - 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in a luxury building at a perfect location in Manhattan's Upper East Side, between 2nd avenue and 3rd avenue, just a block away from the 6 line subway (3 minutes walk) and 7 minutes walk from Central Park.
When you enter the apartment, on your right you'll find a very cozy kitchen packed with just anything you need to make sure you're not hungry during your stay - refrigerator, oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and dishwasher. The kitchen has an open bar view to the huge living room and open space.
In the living room, to keep yourself entertained, you'll find a 42" TV with cables (Netflix is on the house). Two huge sofas will allow you to relax and ease down after a sightseeing day in the city. Of course, there's the A/C to keep you cool if it gets too hot outside.
Free Wifi is also included.
When it's time to go to bed you'll find yet another huge bedroom. Of course, there's another A/C to make it a perfect sleep.
The area is perfect to those looking for a quiet place to stay but want to have easy access to places to go out to nearby. The area is packed with restaurants, pubs and wine bars. You'll find almost any type of food in a radius of 10 minutes walk. We recommend Libretador, and Argentinian restaurant just 6 minutes walk from the apartment and Enthaiace, the best Thai food in the upper east side.
There's perfect access to public transportation from the apartment. There's a subway station on Lexington avenue so, for example, it will take you 10 minutes to get from the apartment to 59th street where you'll find Bloomingdale's and the iconic Apple Store, and about 15 minutes to get to Times Square on 42nd st or Mayc's on 34th st. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Union Square on 14th. Now, we're talking door-to-door times! Also, you can take the crosstown bus, there is a station just across the street. Just use your subway MetroCard) and get to the west side in 10 minutes. It costs about $10 for a taxi to downtown.
For the museum lovers, the apartment is just 7 minutes walk from 5th Avenue's Museum Mile where you'll find the Metropolitan Museum (our favorite NYC museum), The Guggenheim and the Jewish museum.
The apartment is really big and cozy (and very chic!) and is great if you travel alone, as a couple or a family of up to two children (there's a floating bed for the kids).
No pets are allowed in the apartment and no smoking too.
