Hi Nick, this was my first negative experience I've had with guests and I'm disappointed by the false and vindictive statements you've made, likely because I had to ask you and Masha to leave early for violating house rules.
When you notified me of the office smoke detector beeping, I got a battery and replaced it the next day.
I had a friend come twice for 2 nights in the 2 months you stayed at my place and I asked if this was okay prior to arrival. You also had a friend stay for 2 nights on the same mattress in the office free of charge. The office space has never been listed as a room that you have access to on my airbnb. It's my personal office. I learned that you work from home and offered you the space out of kindness. You worked in that space daily including the time my guest stayed over since he only stayed at my place to sleep and was not home during the day.
You used more than 1 terabyte (1000GB) of internet data in one month. I've never had any guest or myself use more than 200GB in the 10 years that Ive had the standard Xfinity/Comcast plan. I kindly asked you to limit the use to email and internet browsing once I received a warning it was going to go over and if you were going to do big data uploads to please use a coffee shop. In your airbnb message to me during our first interaction, you actually said you work from coffee shops and wouldn't be home much. Again, out of kindness, I offered my personal office for your convenience. You were never entitled to it.
My listing does not offer a parking space with the booking and you did not inquire about parking prior to arrival. I allowed you to park in my personal space the first couple of days of your arrival and then I took time off work to drive downtown to obtain the guest street parking passes for you. There was never an issue parking on the street that I was made aware of.
You violated house rules, entered my bedroom and bathroom without my permission, and made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable in my home. I truly want my guests to feel at home and go out of my way to make sure they are comfortable. Unfortunately, you and Masha took advantage of the situation and needed to be asked to leave early. I wish you better AirBnB experiences in the future.
