Just off the main road to Manuel Antonio National Park, our Bed&Breakfast offers comfort and upgraded amenities while still retaining its Costa Rican outdoor living lifestyle. Bonus: Breakfast included every morning and access to offsite pool!

The space

This room at Plinio Bed and Breakfast is fully equiped with remote control A/C, flatscreen TV (with HBO), Wifi, hot water rain showers, NEW Serta queen sized mattresses, fresh towels and bathroom toiletries as well as blackout curtains for a more peaceful rest from the sun. We also have several security cameras located outside that are monitored 24/hr for your peace of mind.

Guest access

Plinio B&B offers a variety of amenities both in-house and offsite at another property a 1.5 minute walk down the street called Hostel Plinio. Onsite we have a shared outdoor kitchen, two outdoor living spaces with hammocks, inside sitting room, and access to a computer if needed. Offsite at Hostel Plinio guests will have access to a pool, more outdoor living space and a delightful restaurant with a full service bar.

Interaction with guests

At check-in, we give our guests a full run down of their stay and what our town has to offer with recommendations for places to eat and activities to do. We are available 7am-10pm at reception at Hostel Plinio and for emergencies from 10pm-7am by our contact phone number through AirBNB. We like to remain interactive with our guests, but also respect those who prefer more privacy, just let us know at check-in what your preference is!

Other things to note

After booking, you will be sent detailed instructions on how to locate us based on where you are coming from and the type of transportation you will be using. As our B&B is located so near to our hostel, for overall convenience you will be checking in at reception at the hostel and then driven a short 20 seconds to the B&B. Hostel Plinio is located 2km up the hill from Queops on the left hand side of the road, look for a large wooden structure that looks like a giant treehouse.

Britt's place exceeded our expectations; the staff were so helpful and friendly. The room, common areas, and kitchen were all perfect! Excellent bed, nice A/C, beautiful view, best breakfast in Costa Rica! The beaches and National Park in this area are definitely worth seeing when traveling Costa Rica.

I always enjoy a place more when the host are this nice! Very informative and the place was very clean, most comfortable bed on our entire trip, check in took about 20 minutes because a group was in front of me enquiring about stuff to do, can't really get mad at that but we we're exhausted from a hike and wanted to rest haha.

Great place. Daniel really took care of us during the check-in and gave us valuable information such as how to use the buses and collectivo which are 2 really efficient and cheap transportation options. Restaurants are not within walkable distances (and the road is risky to walk). Very clean room, but the pool at the near Hostel Plinio wasn't very clean. We felt the bed was too soft/damaged as we were both "falling" into the middle and we woke up with tensions in the back... Lastly, we talked with other guests and realized that we paid more than twice on AirB&B what they paid. But still, I recommend it!

Response from Britt:
I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. I would like to address some of your comments to clarify for future guests. There are 4-6 restaurants within a five min walk, one directly next to the BNB. At the time you were there the pool pump was broken for three days, but I am happy to say it has been fixed and the pool is once again clean and clear. The bed has been changed out, I was unaware it was causing problems, it is a brand new mattress so I am not sure what happened. And lastly, there are several different types of rooms at the BNB and they are not all priced the same, so while you might have thought you were paying more, you were paying for a different room. Also airbnb charges a percentage to the guests for using their site, this money does not go to me but goes to Airbnb to provide you the Guest Protection Clause. Safe travels, Britt

My boyfriend and I have been in Costa Rica for two weeks and have been staying in Airbnb's all the while. No other place compares to Plinio! Not only does it have the most beautiful views, but it's run by the most amazing people. We only planned on staying one night but ended up staying four nights because it was so great! There is a bus stop that takes you into Manuel Antonio right across the way and it's only 310 colones per ride. The breakfast every morning was so delicious and you can get a good view of the sloths and monkeys in the trees while you eat. I very highly recommend staying here!!
