Spent 10 days at Kim's Marina Staycation while attending the Presidents Cup. The location was perfect: close to light rail to get to the course and into NYC. Also, I enjoyed walking around the waterfront in Jersey City and checking out the restaurants in the area. The room was perfect too: comfy bed, large table for organizing my stuff and computer, easy access to a private bathroom, and nice and quiet at night. A quick word on parking: I parked and left my vehicle for the entire week a block away... for free. It is a bit tricky finding a space, but with a bit of patience, it's worth it. The best part of my visit: Meeting Kim and Steve. Kim is a great host- accommodating, easy (and interesting) communication, makes a mean cup of coffee and healthy breakfasts. Enjoyed the morning breakfast chats with Steve. If you're looking for an clean, safe, inexpensive place in the NYC area in a great location- close to light rail and ferry lines, and restaurants... And wanna meet a couple fun and interesting people, this is the place to stay.

The place is superb and in a great location. Very nice to get up in the morning in front of a port! Kim is very friendly and available to give plenty of advice. I really recommend this place !!

Quite possibly the most unique place in the area. The sun shines in the morning right between the downtown jersey city skyline and manhattan skyline beyond. The moment you step out for the day, you have so much to choose from. The statue of liberty island is off to the right, and the hustle and bustle to the left. Kim's place is situated nicely near the lightrail, and if you like evenings out with friends to catchup, there is Surf City right in the marina, and Taqueria (excellent mexican place) and Zeppelin Beer Garden. I used to work in the area, and this section of the city is great. Lots of families, and young professionals are filling up the crazy amount of highrises going up. It was a great staycation indeed. Bed was confortable and the sheets were great quality. Looking forward to staying here again.

Kim and Steve's marina-side hideaway was absolutely perfect for us. The location was fabulous....convenient to the water taxi, ferries and PATH to NYC; a short walk from the vibrant center of downtown Jersey City and, also, to the Jersey City waterfront. Our favorite restaurant in our former neighborhood, Presto's, is a mere 6-7 minute walk away. Moreover, the accommodation itself was everything we seek: clean, spacious, comfortable bed, close-by and private toilette and shower, and Wi-Fi the worked well! Each morning coffee was provided and Kim even fed us a breakfast of yogurt, fruit and grains. All accompanied by easy, informative and friendly conversation with both Kim and Steve. One minor caveat: parking can be a bit challenging. That said, we were able to park street-side just a block away (though we did have to circle the block a few times on one occasion) and we were even able to find a spot when returning home 9.30-10.00 o'clock one evening. There was no charge for street parking; however, the option is available to pay for private parking if that is your preference. My husband, Jack, and I heartily recommend this very special Airbnb to all comers!

Hi there, I grew up as an adventurer in SLC, ut. I ski, bike, sail, paddle board, fish, I try to surf and I love hiking. I moved to NYC for the creative. I collect, cook, love music, reading, and I seem to travel a lot. I love living at the marina and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
