We met Sime at the catamaran before check in which we thought was very accommodating. Unfortunately, thats where his accommodating manner ended, as he seemed unenthusiastic to get to know us. After using one of the bath towels at the beach, that ended all our contact, he didn't check on us at all during our stay after we apologised and in general made us feel pretty unwelcome in his home. We were really looking forward to meeting his wife and getting to know him better, but we didn't. The room was ok for the price, the views were outstanding, and its walkable distance to the town was perfect. Wish we could be giving a wholly positive review, but felt we were never forgiven.

This is a great place to stay. We could be at the port and restaurants in one minute but our room was facing away and was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and our bathroom was huge. We could both use the bathroom with room to spare. The shower was nice and adequate hot water. Sime was incredibly kind and met us at the ferry. He and his wife shared wine and toast with us and oriented us to the location. Exceptionally kind!! They provided beach towels and helped us use the boats over to the best beaches. HINTS: The boats charge 40 kuna for round trip, no ticket or money for the way back- JUST GET ON THE BOAT!! The first stop is JEROLIM, a nice restaurant and beach chairs for rent. Up and over the island is a nicer beach. 110 kuna pays for the chair, pad and umbrella but just grab the pad and umbrella yourself. Later in the day they will collect the charge. This beach is clothing optional but most wear suits. The second stop is only the bar "carpe diem" and does not open till noon. The restaurants on the marina are very good but higher priced. We really enjoyed Kod Kapetana -talk about fresh fish!! Most of the BNB's in Croatia have multiple rooms in a row leading to occasional awakenings but know that your money going to the people instead of a corporation is worth a small inconvenience !!

Sime's place is in a great location, a two minute walk into the main square. It is so close to bars, restaurants and the port. The room was very clean and it had everything we needed for our short stay. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were in good condition. I would definitely recommend staying.

The best apartment in town! Very good location, nice room with good kingsize bed, airconditioning, an attached private bathroom and very nice views of the city harbour and the city fortress. It had everything we needed with some extra, because of the owners Sime and Martha. They are wonderfull people who gave us a warm welcome and were very helpfull. One night we had dinner with them and this was the best memory of our vacation!

Sime's accommodation is really well located, only 2 minutes walking from the port and the center of Hvar. Sime was a perfect host and offered us his home made oil and wine during the check in. The room has a beautiful sea view and from the bathroom you can see also the whole city. The room is small but has everything you need: fridge, air con, Wi-Fi...not fancy but comfy :) I really recommend it if you are visiting Hvar.

Our stay with Simes & Marta was perfect. Simes greeted us off the catamaran and even though the house was situated in the centre of Hvar, the house is very quiet as it is just set back - perfect location. The hospitality shown to us was second to none. When we arrived at the house we drank Simes' home made wine and home grown olives and Marta gave us all the information we needed to know about nearby places to visit etc. Thank you for a great stay and we will be back !

As an islander…..the most important thing for me is nature, the sea and fishing. On the family's olive fields and vineyards I produce olive oil, wine and grappa, truly homemade 'bio' products. I can tell you all about the local agriculture and history of the island & if you are interested in good food, night life, clubs or wine bars….you found the best host & guide in Hvar. Marta, my be loving woman can also give you a lot of useful information on where to go & which places to visit first as she's been living on the island for a number of years.
