Rabih's place was impeccable, gorgeous and very elegant. I personally felt that the pictures do not do it justice. The location is fantastic as it lets you avoid being stuck in Beirut's traffic whilst remaining central. I would recommend Rabih's place to friends and would aim to stay there next time I am in Beirut.

Wow what a haven. My family and I utterly loved our stay in this fabulous apartment. Great for kids and adults. It is beautifully appointed and lit. Fantastic location close to lots of wonderful food - whether it was grabbing croissants from Paul, a street snack from the corner shop, a leisurely lunch at Le Petit Gris or getting divine take-away Lebanese from Le Chef. And on top of all of this there is the wonderful Rabin, who helped us enormously by answering all of our many questions. Saleh the driver is brilliant - he was punctual, so helpful with our bags etc. and a really calm and safe driver on the busy, hectic roads of Lebanon.

This apartment is a piece of heaven. Ideal for couples. Location can't get any better. The apt looks better than the photos, very unique. I loved all the details. Highly recommend

The place is very beautiful on first appearance and in a great neighbourhood super central to the Gemayze and Mar Makhael. This is where the positive comments stop Rabih told us a taxi from the airport would cost us $35 so we opted to be picked up by Saleh his driver who apparently normally charges $50 US but agreed to charge us $40 which Rabih claimed he would make up the $10 shortfall. The driver picked us up in a relatively small car barely fitting two people with luggage. I would've expected if he charges more than a taxi than usually you would at least get a private car that is bigger and more comfortable than a standard taxi. We paid the driver $50 and he claimed he didn't have change but will drop off the next day. Three days went by and still no money despite calling him numerous times. Finally he dropped it off after I told Rabih. This was even more upsetting when we find out that an uber from the airport would have cost us approx $15 we felt ripped off and mislead. This feeling was only cemented further by the ongoing communication and the inconsistency in Rabih's stories. In one instance he claimed he's had the cleaner for over 10 years then when I told him how poor the cleaning was and that she claimed her duties don't include washing dishes he then changed the story that she's a new cleaner. On Airbnb the home was photographed looking very homey with lots of fresh produce but when you look closely the home was cold and empty. I've hosted many airbnb guests in my property in Aus and I usually leave eggs, milk, juice, fresh bread juice, olive oil, butter spices etc..., and all cleaning supplies as aminimum. I asked for basic pantry supplies to be stocked In the fridge and pantry on arrival this did not happen. There wasn't even any olive oil, butter, washing powder, the only thing we had was a few bottles of water and some left over beer in the fridge which I'm guessing is from the previous guest. The kitchen were a mess and completely disorganised couldn't find basic utensils there were blunt knives and no sharpener. I booked this place as I like to entertain and cook. I have family in Beirut and wanted to invite them over for dinner. The rooms - the main bedroom and bathroom looked fine although nothing like the photos the bed covers, sheets and pillows were very cheap liked nothing like the photos. The ensuite bathroom was big with a double sink but had old dirty looking soap. I suggest a soap dispenser would be more appropriate. The shower was mouldy and the glass was grimy and dirty. Nothing the photos no towels Nd just looks grotty. Considering this is meant to be a home deigned by a famous architect I can say it was very underwhelming and not presented as photographed. I...

Response from Rabih:
Id like to respond to Lena's comments first by providing some clarity and background on her remarks and then by highlighting some of Lena's behaviors and how I believe it led to a mutually bad experience. Airport taxis do cost a min of $30 as they are charged an airport taxi fee. Uber by law cant pick up passengers from the airport but obviously some operate anyway. Nonetheless, she requested and accepted the optional service for an airport pick up and agreed on the price of $40 to be paid the the contracted driver. Regarding the house, the kitchen is usually stocked with basics, water, coffee, beer, etc, but Lena would call on a daily basis and request milk, eggs, fresh bed despite the fact that the grocery right underneath the house. Without complaint, we purchased and delivered some of her requests. Finally, the soap needed change and the washing machine needed fluid, both of which were replaced. The real issue was that Lena was extremely demanding believing herself in a 5 star hotel with room service, requesting the maid to clean her clothes all the while she treat house like a dump leaving her clothes and bottles of alcohol on the floor and plates unrisened. I know this because the maid had taken pictures because i didn't believe her when she told me.

Rabih's apartment is conveniently located in a very central area, perfect to discover the city, with tons of options for bars, restaurants and shops all walking distance. The apartment is big and spacious, perfect for 4 people with all comforts you need. Rabih is very responsive and extremely helpful and he made sure we had a great stay at his place. We'll definitively go back!
