Location Location this beach house was amazing for our family of 6 . Susan was a great host . Easy to talk to , quick to get back to questions I had. The place was very clean and spacious. Our family did not want to leave . Thanks Susan for your hospitality

This is the perfect beach cottage - clean, comfortable and wonderfully close to a really beautiful beach. It's great for a family piling in and out with sandy flip flops and wet bathing suits; relaxing on the deck with coffee and a book in the morning, or a glass of wine watching…

We got into a conflict with Susan when she pointed out (AFTER the booking) that I should provide my own bedlinens and towels. At my request, she agreed to provide them for an extra $50 fee to be paid privately outside of Airbnb (I wasn't aware that this is not allowed). The reaso…

Response from Susan:
Patricia did not have to accept the booking as she did. I was very clear that since the rate was so low and since she had 6 people that to be fair to me and make it worth my time for the rental, I would need an extra $50 for the linens. Again, she didn't have to take the unit. It was her decision to take the unit for only $99/night and a one time fee of $50 for 6 people. She chose to accept the booking and then told me she also wanted towels and I included them without a problem. She wrote on more than one occasion "no problem with the fee, how would you like me to send it" I wasn't trying to get around anything, I just suggested an App that I use for payments not realizing that I could make an additional request via airbnb. Patricia wrote and told me how beautiful the unit was and how happy they all were. Then the snow came and the power went out for a short time. It was back within a few hours by 8 pm of the same day but she decided to leave and ask for one night refund. She also decided she no longer wanted to pay the $50 fee after using the linens and towels for several days. So, in trying to resolved, I said I would call it a wash not pursuing the $50 as the whole experience was causing me such stress. Again, she could have stayed at the heated unit with full power yet she chose to leave. I decided the $50 was not worth it to pursue and let it go. After saying how beautiful the unit was, I was surprised at her negative comments later on and Ii will certainly address anything ensure my guests have a great stay. All I can say is that I will continue to be the host that everyone except patricia has been very happy with.

Property was well kept, great location however, way too much contact for a 2 night stay. Each contact was made to be an urgent matter and it is not the visitor's responsibility to check in with Susan on 1) the location of a pamphlet for Reeds Ferry, 2) the condition of the downs…

Response from Susan:
It turns out Jill, the mother who booked my place, never stayed at the unit, only her daughter and several friends. That is why any correspondence was a burden for Jill as she had to check with her daughter first. I waited for Jill to arrive at the time she quoted me and she never did arrive. Some young friends of her daughters arrived and told me Rachel had rented the unit. That startled me and I said oh no I booked with a Jill Healy. They said Jill is Rachels Mom. Any time I tried to talk to Jill she was never at the unit. She left several young girls who did not appear to be of drinking age at the unit drinking and playing loud music on both nights of their short stay.
