We stayed in this apartment for 23 nights in October/November 2016. I would give it 3.5 out of 5.
Location: The apartment’s location is among the best in Paris; in the 7th arrondissement, residential, close to rue Cler market, steps away from Carrefour supermarket, multiple brasseries, and École Militaire metro.
Apartment: This apartment is on the 2nd floor with elevator although we always walked up the short flight of stairs. The apartment is fully renovated and everything is still very new, including the dishes, kitchenware and furniture, which are among the best in any Airbnb property we have stayed. The kitchen is very nicely equipped. There is a Nespresso, a juicer and a large toaster as well. The bedrooms are a good size, the beds extremely comfortable and the linens are soft. Everything is professionally cleaned. There are smart TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. The closets are clean and emptied for guest use. My husband and I had enough closet space between the two bedrooms. The shower is a good size but perhaps a drawback of an old building, the drain smells and in particular, in the evening the stench can be overwhelming especially since the shower does not have a fan capable of proper ventilation. There is one small separate toilet. My 6 feet tall husband (180cm) could not close the door while seated. The flooring throughout the apartment is original Parisian hardwood which is beautiful but noisy. Anyone walking at night will wake up the others in the apartment. The metro also runs under the building and for approx. 20 hours per day, there is a slight vibration from trains. The apartment faces a traditional Parisian courtyard and as a result, it gets no direct sun. The courtyard has noise from a famous traditional restaurant (Auberge Bressane) whose kitchen backdoor opens to the courtyard below the master bedroom window. The restaurant staff use the courtyard for their various activities, both early in the morning and late at night, including for garbage disposal which is a noisy activity on cobblestones. Mid-day it’s quieter.
The host: Achraf is a responsive host. He looked into the TV problem for us quickly. Being an agent with many properties, the reception is transactional.
