Tiny House is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, Henry Cowell State Park, and a short drive to Santa Cruz's popular beaches and downtown. You’ll love the Tiny House because of the coziness; a perfect getaway with a private deck. Tiny House is something between a tree house and a boat; perfect for adventurous people.
We provide coffee for your enjoyment along with a small selection of teas.
Our place is good for couples, solo travelers and business travelers.

The space

Tiny House sits on our property, facing our house, pool and BBQ area, but guests do have a separate entrance and private deck. We are an artistic family of 4 that takes pride in every aspect of our property. Tiny House was built with the intention of having guests and friends share our love of art and our handmade living space.
Tiny House has a loft bed with (steep) steps, a bathroom, and a kitchenette with microwave, toaster oven, and fridge.
During spring and summer months there is a hibachi, let us know if you want us to set it up, and it will be ready to go upon your arrival.
The Tiny House is somewhere between luxury camping and living simply.

Guest access

The Tiny House has a private deck that is enclosed with lattice. A clear walkway from the gate to the steps of the house is lit at night. There is a designated spot for guests to park.

Interaction with guests

Tiny House is on our property, and we are usually around working in the yard or enjoying the sun. We are available via text if you don't see us out and about.
There are beach chairs, beach towels and a beach umbrella for your enjoyment. If there is anything particular you need, we are happy to accommodate.

Other things to note

FYI - We do live in close proximity to a wonderful restaurant, however, that means early garbage pick up on Friday mornings, and various delivery trucks through out the week. Vegans might not appreciate the waft of BBQ.
Our wifi has been spotty; we are working to remedy this with an extender but it is not yet solved.

My husband and I only had the chance to spend one night in the tiny house -- but we wished we could have stayed longer. The house is so cute and functional! The bed was super comfy ... the only issue I had was climbing down those stairs at night to use the rest room (a little dangerous if you're not careful). The area surrounding the house is picturesque -- wish we had time to do some local hiking. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area! Although I never met Carmen (we checked in quite late), she was very responsive to my texts and her instructions on getting to the house we quite clear.

We (retired couple) really enjoyed our 2-nite stay in Bigfoot's Tiny House. It is well-designed and outfitted we used the provided BBQ and enjoyed a full meal on the private patio. Those with mobility issues might find access to the sleeping loft a bit difficult but the bed is big and comfy. Comms with hosts Carmen and Aaron were easy and clear. Highly recommended!

Cute little house. It was an experience to stay in one of these mini homes! The bed in the loft was like being a kid sleeping in a cubby hole. It was pretty cool. Super close to Big Basin State Park and Roaring Camp railroad park. Be aware that there is only a microwave and toaster oven. No oven or burners to cook on.

Great little spot! Very fun getaway for me and my partner. Carmen was friendly and accommodating yet we didn’t interact in person except for when we first arrived. So nice to have privacy but also be able to reach the host when needed. Go check this place out! And her art hangs on the wall of the Tiny House, it’s rad stuff!
