A beautiful, large, Spanish townhouse, lovingly & totally reformed to high quality; quiet yet a few minutes' walk to the delights of Javea Old Town & close to beaches. The Casa is perfect for large gatherings or cosy enough for a romantic getaway.

The space

A spectacular Casa in the very heart of the historic old town of Javea/Xabia, known as the sunrise of Spain and a jewel in the Costa Blanca. This lovingly and completely restored 16th century townhouse also has a separate 2 bedroomed fully self-contained guest accommodation across the pretty inner patio. The Casa is perfect for large families sharing, groups, a family with staff, or just as much for a couple who enjoy spacious living &/or want to "cosy up". Lovingly and totally restored and fully modernised, this large, light, luxury town house has an inner patio, is cool in summer with sea breezes & warm in winter with thick stone walls, shuttered windows, underfloor heating, open fire, some air conditioning and all traditional features. Head down to one of the spectacular beaches or 'secret' coves, stroll around the historic streets or chill/party at home or down at the beach. The house is large and spectacular, with a variety of lovely areas to suit everybody. There is a large communal sitting room with comfortable sofas and a large flat screen TV with multi TV channels in English and Spanish and an extensive movie library. The downstairs 'snug' is surrounded by books and games and has a wood burning stove. The house is unusually light for a town house with an inner patio & 2 roof terraces and loads of plants, the top terrace with outside kitchen. Wander down ancient streets, try one of the many wonderful tapas bars & restaurants; enjoy open air summer concerts; visit the indoor & outdoor markets, (with a huge variety of fresh, local produce); sit and take a leisurely breakfast watching the local Spanish life. Enjoy late night dining or explore the medieval historical centre, or head down to the beach for water sports, chill out on soft, silky sands (cleaned daily) or smooth pebbles of the crystal clear water of the Port. Take a cocktail and watch the sunset 'Ibizan Style' and party from sunset until sunrise if that's your buzz. If that's too lively for you, take in the gentle charm of The Port; admire the stunning yachts & eat at the many delicious fish restaurants along the beach & enjoy fresh fish straight off the fishing boats - nothing more delicious. Here there is peace & tranquillity too, offering something for everyone. If sports are your thing, you are truly spoilt for choice! Javea is ideal for families, children, (young and not so young) as the main sandy beach is particularly safe. Sporty people, party people or simply chillers and relaxers, there's something for absolutely everyone in Javea and all very easily accessible. (Can you tell how much we love it here too...?) People of all nationalities come back again and again to this little piece of paradise & we look forward to welcoming you here too. ¡Bienvenido!

I have just seen this message from 'Irma on Airbnb' forum;it's slightly edited but worth noting despite all our guests being lovely! :....:

"Irma just sent a message to all our guests:
- who uses AC 24/7 even when they are not present
- who doesn't know how to cool the house by simply opening the windows in the evening and closing the shutters during the day
- who heats or cools the house with open windows
- who leaves all the lights turned on even when they are not present
- who takes looooong showers
- who uses the washer and dryer for a pair of socks
- who uses fresh towels and linens every single day
- who use 3 pillows, 3 sheets and 3 covers per person , per night
- who use disposable hotel slippers, cups and stuff

Guests, hotels, holliday resorts , hosts and the entire human kind should listen to Irma.
And Irma says: "Hello, pleased to meet you - I am climate change, your long term guest now."
Wow.....she has a point though!

You must also acknowledge
Must climb stairs
Potential for noise - It's a really quiet house (thick walls) apart from 'rush hour' on the street side of the Casa (applies to one bedroom) and the lovely church bells ...
No parking on property - You can park right outside La Casa to load/unload and then move the car to park free in one of the many surrounding streets & 2 car parks down hill.

The house is wonderful to stay in. Huge amount of room, every one very comfortable and happy. Lovely bathrooms. Lots of outside space with the 2 verandahs and the court yard. Marvellous huge table for family meals. We had a 90th birthday party for out mother (Javea resident) and all the local guests thought it was the loveliest house too. Fantastic position in the old town. Wish we could have stayed longer. A very special house.

We had a nice familiholiday in Janes house. We were a party of eleven and had plenty of space. The roof top terracce is brilliant and even has its own fridge to keep your drinks and snacks cold. We were happy to stay in the old town as we found it to be the nicest part of Javea. Bus to the beach leaves five min from the house, lots of shops and restaurants just outside the door and a huge supermarked 5 min away by foot. We found it a little hot at night since only one out of five bedrooms have air condition. Jane was a very helpful host and replied quickly to all our questions!

We had a wonderful stay during our holiday in the month of July. Janes house is beautiful, perfect location in the middle of the old town of Javea, and easy access to the Costa Blanca area. We highly recommend this house and especially Jane as the perfect host. She did her outmost to make our holiday nice.

Jane was a fabulous joy to meet and always provided assistance and communication pre trip and throughout our stay in Javea. She recommended several amazing restaurants and activities, and the check in and check out process were simple and seamless. The house is a modernized renovated wonder within Javea's most charming old town.

Hi We stayed at this beautiful townhouse for my 50th Birthday celebration 15 Nov 2013 -18 Nov 2013. There were 11 of us ladies all spread over the main house and the additional smaller self contained house which is just as lovely. Well equipped kitchens for all eventualities, clean, spacious with so much character. All furnishings are perfectly placed in each room with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy including pretty outdoor spaces. Centrally located for the old historic town with a restaurant a few doors along where we had a lovely dinner on our first evening which was very reasonable priced. We would highly recommend this beautiful home for a wonderful holiday. Weather unfortunately not great, weekend before was beautiful weather but then it was November and that's Javea it didn't spoil our stay it was a very special occasion which will be remembered by all!! We would definitely think of booking again. So pleased we found this place Thankyou to Jane and family for sharing their beautiful home!! A group of 13 of us stayed at this lovely home over the weekend just gone by for our engagement party and it couldn't have been a better place for us all to stay!! The accomodation is beautiful, each room has it's own unique personality and the house overall is wonderfully spacious and light. The house was immaculate when we arrived, with beautiful linens and towels and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils we could possibly need. The courtyard and terraces were so picturesque and we felt like we were staying in a true spanish townhouse! We were all so sad to leave it! The proximity of the house to the beautiful old town and nearby beaches was perfect and there are very convenient grocery stores close by. This was a very special trip for us and each person in our group couldn't speak highly enough of this gorgeous house. We are planning an annual reunion trip already!! Thank you to Jane and her family for lending us their home :) Tim & Susheel xxx

We live between Javea and England reforming ruins into their former glory!

John and I spent 8 years lovingly reforming a 16th century ruin into our home, (even though ALL our friends thought we were utterly nuts...!); we saw the amazing potential and fell in love with La Casa as soon as we managed to prise open what was left of the door..... We managed to convince 'The Teenager' that it would be 'fun', (and the dog to stop burying his bones in the builders sand) and we finished 8 years later, having reformed, rebuilt, recycled every single centimetre of a 330sqm ruin into a spectacular home and we love it. (The response from every single person makes it all worth it!) The Casa is in the heart of the beautiful Old Town of historic Javea, lovingly and sensitively brought into the 21st century with all mod cons, (winner of May the Best House Win Spain). We also have a Great Team to help make sure all our guests enjoy a wonderful time here in this stunning part of the Costa Blanca.

Get in touch if we can help!
