The space
Escape to our stunning, natural, private retreat nestled on 6 acres of forested oceanfront property. Our high-bank cabin is the perfect getaway for nature lovers, offering stunning views and a tranquil setting with a private 40ft dock and calm bay ideal for cold water dips, snorkeling, or paddleboarding. Whether you’re seeking outdoor adventure or peaceful relaxation, this cabin is your perfect escape.
We offer a water taxi service from Quadra Island ensuring a seamless and scenic 30-minute journey each way for you and your guests.
Explore the the forest behind the cabin, visit nearby lakes by boat, or embark on adventure to nearby islands. With no cell reception, you’ll have the opportunity to truly disconnect and unwind, but Starlink internet is available upon request for those who need it.

This property is stair access and requires guests to be comfortable with walking up 45 stairs. The lofts in the main cabin have ladders to access.

Owen Bay is a quiet, remote coastal community where people live and work year-round. We ask that all guests help us keep it that way by being respectful of the land, water, and neighbours.
Keep noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings (quiet hours after 10 PM)
No wake in the bay — this protects docks, wildlife, and other boats
Respect private property — neighbouring homes and docks are not public access
Pack out all garbage and recycling at the end of your stay
Be mindful of wildlife - observe from a distance and do not disturb
Limit light use at night to reduce light pollution and respect the natural setting

Guest access
Guests have access to the Cabin and Sleeping Bunkie if needed. The cabins are on 6 acres of lush, private forest. Behind the main cabin up a steep access road, you’ll find that the forest provides a quiet, secluded environment to reconnect with nature.
The rental includes both the Main Cabin and the Sleeping Bunkie, ensuring plenty of space and privacy for your group. The Bunkie offers an additional cozy retreat, perfect for those seeking a peaceful night's rest surrounded by forest.
There is ample space to explore, unwind, and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you. Whether it’s paddle boarding off the dock, crabbing, fishing or simply sitting back and soaking in the views, the forest offers an escape like no other.

Transportation & Access
If you need a water taxi, we've got you covered! We operate out of Heriot Bay on Quadra Island, just a short ferry ride from Campbell River, BC. From there, we’ll pick you up and take you on a scenic 30-minute boat ride to the cabin in our certified water taxi.
The water taxi service is not included in the rental and costs $480 each way.
Sea Chalet is accessible by boat or water taxi only. We arrange all guest transportation through our certified water taxi service, SS Funship.
