If you want to experience the real Brooklyn, this is the best place to do it! Our serene, spacious 2-story house is on the outer edge of the Stuyvesant Heights historic district in a culturally and socioeconomically diverse, bohemian brownstone neighborhood. Grand old trees and community gardens can be found on every block. Just a 20-min train ride to downtown Manhattan and a short walk to great restaurants and bars, but the hustle and bustle of the city feels like a million miles away.

The house is lovely, and pretty big. The large opened kitchen is very enjoyable. Really nice and good value!

My friends and I traveled from Houston. Subway station was a good 10 min walk away and there were stores and restaurants nearby. Going to Manhattan wasn't far. Jungwon's home was a good place to stay. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was spacious. There's cute fami…

Glad to know your and your friends found my home comfortable and clean. Sorry to hear the house was scary to you! My home is indeed a spacious, old brownstone, complete with a some creaky floorboards and high ceilings on the parlor floor. The overhead lighting is indeed purposefully dim, but all the common areas also have lamps for additional lighting. As far as the art goes, well...all I can say is that one's response to any piece of art is highly subjective :-) Most of the artwork in my home can be seen in the photos on my listing and includes folk art from Mexico, African and Asian sculptures gifted to us by family members, portraits of my kids, prints of marine life, and a few collages. As I mention clearly on my listing, our neighborhood is one that has changed rapidly over the past 10 years and contains a socioeconomically, as well as culturally, diverse population. In general, I wouldn't walk around any big city alone by myself at night until I became very familiar with the neighborhood. Please see the review (below, in French) from other Air BnB guests, who mentioned having nice interactions with my neighbors. Please note: on the amenities section of my listing, I do not include a microwave, cable, or air conditioning. Thank you!

This place is a gem! It's a gorgeous, authentic brownstone in Brooklyn, beautifully maintained, with lovely accents throughout. It's a treat just to walk through the house. The rooms are really large, and the 2.5 bathrooms were just great! We were a family of 6 staying there, and…

It was such a pleasure hosting you and your family! Thank you for being wonderful guests and for leaving my home in terrific shape. I completely agree with what you said: this experience was exactly what one wants from Air BnB. From my perspective as a host, it was so nice to learn about your important work and see pics of your adorable kids hanging out on my stoop. I was happy to know that a special family was enjoying my home and my awesome neighborhood. I'd love to host you again!
