Located right in the center of Bologna, just steps from piazza maggiore, the train station and surrounded by plenty of day and night life including restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping you're sure to discover what this beautiful city has to offer!

The space

We offer a big private room (12 sqm), separated from the other two rooms in this spacious, open house that sometimes transforms into an art space. Photography, visual arts, theatre and music are all part of the events the space occasionally hosts. We love having guests during our events but we leave it totally up to you!

The house is fully furnished with two bathrooms (one with a shower and the other a whirlpool bathtub), spacious kitchen with snack area, huge living room and a small peaceful terrace where you can relax day or night over the skyline of the city.
Tons of windows and hardwood floors throughout the house add to the hospitality.

In the center of Bologna you can find so much to do: museums, shops, restaurants and bars where you can taste authentic Italian food and wine and experience the culture. Not to mention all of the events and festivals happening in the city all year round!

The location of the house allows easy access to all parts of the city and the residents can help with any questions, issues or needs.

Guest access

Guests have access to use of the entire house, kitchen, fridge, terrace... Make your self at home!
There's also coffee and teas in the morning. We can give you an authentic lesson in the mysteries of making the perfect caffettiera coffee and or french press!

Interaction with guests

We're here to welcome you and for anything you might need. We often have different schedules so there's usually someone around to chat with, have coffee, water or wine or even a bite to eat! But there's always plenty of space to relax on your own in the house or have some privacy in your room.

Other things to note

Bologna isn't the most well-known city for travelers in Italy but not only does that make it great for getting around without swaths of tourists, it has one of the richest cultural traditions. Just check out the wikipedia page to just how much historical and contemporary activity there is here, especially the Entertainment and Performing Arts section!

It houses the oldest university in Europe still in full function and making it a very lively, young city where you can find university students out ad about in that part of town. It's a UNESCO city of music (there's still a lot and every genre), home of Morandi, weekly open markets, one of the biggest cinematographic cities in Italy.

In the summer there is a mega screen in piazza maggiore with free movies every night, often in English or subtitled. Also check out local concerts in town or the theatre schedules: Arena del Sole, Teatro Duse, Teatro Comunale, beautiful performances with many touring shows in English or without much need.

We had a lovely time. We were greeted warmly and given a tour of the apartment. Our host was very welcoming and helped out is with directions to main attractions. The room itself was very clean and tidy. We would stay here again.

Maria Rosa is a very nice person and her roomate too. Very friendly they make you comfortable as if you were in your own home. They were not there when i arrived but a friend of them was there to welcome me and give me the key. The bed room is big and the bed very comfortable. It is a bit noisy because of the street but the localisation is perfect and ideal: in the heart of the city and 15min by walk to the train station. You have access to the whole appartement and there is even a small terrasse ! For sure i would stay again here!

I didn't meet Futura but her flatmate let me in and gave me the keys. The flat is really well located, very clean, and stylish. Thankfully her flatmate gave me a fan for the night as it was really hot in the room. As the flat is on a major street there is a lot of noise even with with windows closed so if you need quiet to sleep this probably isn't the place for you, although it didn't disturb me too much. I'd stay there again :)

Lovely, clean apartment. Many accommodations, very centrally located and easy to find. Room is just as it looks in the photos. Futura was home when I arrived and was very helpful and kind. After I arrived I barely even saw anyone and had the apartment to myself for the better part. Excellent experience. Would recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend maison 22 and its host Mariarosa. First, when i arrived, the room was very dirty and the bed sheets were still the ones from an earlier visitor. Moreover, the host doesn’t feel obliged to keep to the most basic rules and was only acting on her own interests. One day, the whole apartment was rent to a supermarket chain (COOP), which had some kind of meeting with journalists, to introduce a new online-product. So, I had to leave the apartment early in the morning and wasn’t allowed to go back before 4:30pm. What was the one thing too much for me, was when I was informed, that my room was needed once more for personal interests of the host. In fact there was some exhibition for which she wanted to give her guests access to my room! Therefore I felt forced to leave the apartment earlier than planed. Eventhough we agreed, that she would refund the nights I couldn't stay, I haven’t seen any money so far! It’s just not honest!

I stayed in Maison Ventidue for a little over a month, and in all my years of using Airbnb, it was by far the best place I have stayed in. The apartment has a very unique charm. Having been used as an art residency before, you see the remnants of their work and this makes a sort of creative resonance within the apartment. Mariarosa was an absolutely perfect host. Welcoming, helpful, and discreet. The apartment couldn't be in a better location, the entire city of Bologna is a short walk from the apartment. Anyone who stays here will surely enjoy themselves.

Mariarosa was a friendly and helpful host. Her cold tea with basil was very refreshing on arrival as it was a very hot day. The apartment is nicely quirky and hip in its decoration and very comfortable. It is bang in the centre of town. This was my second stay and I would definitely stay again, if I can, next time I am in Bologna.
