Miriam is absolutely wonderful host! She's great with communication before and during the stay. Several times we had a great chat. She is a great traveler and has plenty of stunning stories from her ways. Her house is very nice and cozy, situated in a quiet street, but also near to the city center. Long story short, I felt at home! Highly recommend!

Miriam is a nice person, but she seems uncomfortable not knowing who is staying in her home. That said, make sure to tell her if you are bringing a guest overnight beforehand. During my stay, she didn't allow me to have my brother-in-law stay with me during my last night in Belfast; It was an uncomfortable situation, so we just decided to leave early and not stay the last night. The home and rooms were a bit smaller than I expected. It's a three bedroom home with one bathroom that's shared by the host and all guests staying there. Bedrooms aren't big enough for two people, especially if you consider brining luggage with you. The rooms are really single-occupancy units. Privacy was also a concern for me while staying here, maybe because it was a small living space. Overall, Miriam is nice, but strict on certain things.

Response from Miriam:
That particular room that Webster stayed in is for one guest only, and was booked by him under that agreement. So yes, I did feel uncomfortable when at 7pm in the evening it was announced to me that Webster and his friend assumed that it was ok to add on a guest without asking me first. There was other guests in the house so I felt it was disrespectful to them to allow this to happen as Webster and his friend were planning to go to a party and come back to the house at 3am. I didn't want my other guests to be disturbed. I made calls to find his friend a room and agreed that one of them could stay or I could refund the money.

I absolutely loved Miriam... She was warm and kind -- and went out of her way to ensure that I felt comfortable and welcome in her home. And I did... I stayed in one of two spare rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. All was spotless, cozy and warm. There was a very nice couple in the next room (and Miriam asked them first if they minded a visitor for a couple of days - which was incredibly considerate.). The walls are pretty thick and I hardly heard a peep from inside or out... Miriam stays in a very quiet neighborhood off of Ormeau Road, which is a nice/neutral part of the city - but it is within the borders of E. Belfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend in Belfast and my time at Miriam's. I look forward to visiting with her again. Muchos besos y gracias!!
