Roti Bakar, Pulut tatai, Kuih Manja & Kuih Kapek are under 1 roof.

Our family home was build in the 1930s with British & Strait Chinese influence. We have lived here ever since and we are one of the few remaining Shanghai plaster bungalows in town area.

Our location is close to hawker centers and restaurants, public transport, and nightlife. All rounded.

My homestay is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The space
Cozy, Comfortable & Private.

Kuih Kapek room's concept was inspired by a Traditional Chinese-Malay (Nyonya) dessert and being named after it.

The room is made of mostly natural wood that made the room cozy and warm. Plus the sliding glass door give way to natural light and view to the outdoor mini garden.

The room has an attached bathroom.

Guest access
Kuih Kapek room is a private room which attached to the main heritage house with an annex entrance.

Other things to note
Penang, Malaysia is a Muslim nation, you will be expecting to hear prayers through loud speaker at least 5 times a day in almost every corner.

I am the 5th generation of Malaysian Chinese, raised and bred in Penang (Pearl of the Orient). I like to host, travel and to meet different people ,together we exchange knowledge, culture and life experiences. This started from some exposure in the service line working with Coffee Bean and Restaurant, later upon graduation a short stint in a Boutique Hotel. This is a family run homestay. We started with just 1 room Roti Bakar Homestay. And now we have total of 4 rooms under 1 roof. 2013 : 1) Roti Bakar Homestay 2014 : 2) Pulut Tatai Homestay 2016 : 3) Kuih Manja (Website hidden by Airbnb) 4) Kuih Kapek Basically, we would prefer independent guests but if you have any inquiry please do not hesitate to talk to me or any of my family members. They would be at home 24/7. We could contact each other through phone & text massages. Of cause i will make an appointment to meet up with you and make sure your stay with us is comfortable :) :)
