Nice clean home with plenty of room for six of us. Had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Nice deck in back but side yard needs attention.

Loved everything about this home! The pictures do not do it justice. I took my adult sons and future daughter in law for a long weekend getaway and we couldn't have stayed at a better place. When we weren't out exploring we were enjoying wine and pasta dinner on the large table outside, board games inside, late night chatter around the firepit. Great location with the Elfin Forest right out the front door. This was by far one of our favorite vacation spots and we would definitely go back.

Cute little cottage in a great location. One house away from the Elfin Forest (nice walk, nice views). Loved the fact that pets were welcome, our dog loved the whole place (especially the big backyard). Three bedrooms - the back bedroom had a bunk bed, which made my 5-year old very happy. We brought everything for cooking and there were enough pots, pans, etc. to bake and cook various and sundry things. There wasn't a proper cooking knife, but rather a couple of serrated steak knives, which did the trick (note: if you're super-picky about this, take one!) but my wife cooked and baked the whole time we were there, so she made it work. :) Living room was stocked with various board games and a few books, very cozy. WiFi worked okay. Communication with hosts was excellent. Kim responded to texts immediately/very quickly. The house is about a 10 minute drive to the Morro Bay area. We went down there a couple of times for dinner. Really beautiful area. My wife liked that she was relatively close (San Luis Obispo) to a Target and Grocery Outlet to get groceries and items that we had forgotten. All in all, a great stay! We would definitely come back!

Check in was easy. The house was a great size for 4 guests. The back yard needs some attention but has a large deck. Kitchen had most of what we needed, could use a few more supplies.

Cozy place in a convenient location with a great back yard, with BBQ fire pit and outdoor dining. Quiet cul de sac right at the elfin forest trailhead. Nice and clean inside but pretty basic

This was a great spot. House was just what we needed for a family of 5. Clean and stocked with kitchen supplies. Really enjoyed the elfin forest and Los Osos was close to all of our central coast vacation plans.

Communication with us was non-existent. Kim is a teacher and was backpacking without service, which we understand but she did not give us the key code for the door or any way to get into the house. We called, texted, and messaged and became pretty frantic with two little babies with us. We had no idea of we would be able to get into the rental until we arrived and realized there is a front unit tenant (not mentioned in the description) who manages the rental. If they weren't there, we would've been left out in the cold. Fortunately, they have is the door code. We still didn't hear from Kim until the last day of our stay. We were just happy the whole trip wasn't ruined. The house and backyard were nicer than they look in photos, but it definitely needs some things fixed. Shower curtain was very gross and moldy. The toilet paper holder was broken off the wall. The front porch light didn't work so it was hard to put in the door code at night without a flashlight or phone light. Other lights on the house didn't work. Some TV apps like HBO (as advertised weren't set up). Random stuff like that that were a little annoying. The rooms were a good size, needs were comfy, and there were lots of blankets. Living room was nicely decorated and comfy. The board games were a plus. Pet hair was not a problem. The backyard was great! There is a beautiful large wood table that we ate meals out. Weather was around 70 but mosly sunny for us. We even made a fire in the fire pit one night. It was a huge space! As mentioned, best part was the rental's proximity to the Elfin forest. We took walks with the babies every day (it's super stroller and wheelchair friendly). It is just steps from the house. Although we did the morro bay sights, Los Osos is very cute. We ate at Noi's which had great Thai. Backyard cafe had very good coffee (meets our San Francisco standards), and the farmers market in Monday is amazing! We had the best watermelon which was dry farmed! Still deciding if the stress of the beginning of the trip makes it worth returning. We got into the house and things we're mostly expected. We are pretty sure the lack of communication was a fluke, but wanted people to be aware. Communicate early!

We are teachers who LOVE to get away from it all. While we are at home in LA, the allure of the central coast is too much for us to resist. It truly makes us happy to know that others can also enjoy the peace and relaxation we feel every time we open the front door of Casa de Osos.
Our motto is stolen from a very popular shoe company and to avoid legal trouble we will not disclose it here. Suffice it to say, we like to go do things. Swiftly. When we are not spending time at Casa de Osos, we are traveling or spending time with friends and family.
