The view and the location is spectacular. Laco and Mireye are fantastic and very accommodating. Talk to Laco about setting up fishing and island tours. He has a great connection.

We had an AMAZING time! Laco and Mireya are wonderful!! Laco's friend Jose took us fishing, where we caught a 70lbs, 92" Sailfish. He took us snorkeling we had a wonderful time. He also invited us to help with releasing new born baby sea turtles, and more. We could not have been any happier with the accommodations, service, and over all experience. Melissa always was so helpful preparing us for the trip with any needs, including an outdoor Christmas tree :-) Muchos Gracias to our hosts!

The experience was top notch with an incredible house, great host, and the support staff was amazing. My family and I had an amazing vacation. We had two little kids and the staff went out there way to accommodate for the little ones. I would recommend this place to anyone interesting in a house a short distance from the beach with beautiful views and great staff.

My husband and I just spent 10 days for our honeymoon at beautiful Casa del Platero and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is in a great location, at the end of Playa La Ropa (the best beach in Zihua) within walking distance or a short taxi ride to basically anywhere in Zihua. We rented out just the lower portion of the house, but had the entire house to ourselves which was perfect. The house and grounds are well-maintained by Laco and Mireye, and they were very attentive to all of our needs. The house is definitely more of a casual, beach-style house, so we did encounter some ants and bugs (and a couple small crabs!) during our stay there, but nothing that you would not expect for a house so close to the beach and with all of the great outdoor seating and dining areas it has to offer. The house is very spacious and clean, and my husband and I commented on how great it would be for a large group of friends or a big family to rent out. You won't be spending a lot of time inside, but just a note that there is not a TV at the residence. Although the house notes say the wireless internet is not great for streaming, we had no problem streaming shows on Netflix on our laptop at night. We had a great interaction with Melissa during the booking process. She was very accommodating to our needs, and our desire to rent out just the lower house but have the entire property to ourselves. She offered to rent us the lower house and notify us if anyone expressed interest in renting the upper house during our stay so that we could make a decision on whether we wanted to rent the entire place. Fortunately, we did have the entire place to ourselves and it was fantastic! I can't express how great Laco and Mireye, the caretakers, are. They made our stay so easy, Laco drove us to the grocery store and to town several times, saving us multiple taxi rides. He even drove us out to see the ruins at La Chole and the gold market in Petatlan. Mireye cooked several delicious dinners for us, including whole lobsters with garlic sauce caught fresh that morning, and every meal was fantastic. Just a note that El Refugio de Potossi is currently closed. I had looked forward to visiting the refuge, but they are not accepting visitors right now. Hopefully it will be back open during our next trip! We enjoyed our stay at Casa del Platero and hope to be back for a visit soon! Zihuatanejo itself is absolutely beautiful and we highly recommend visiting this little slice of paradise! Early November is a great time to visit - not many people/tourists but in the 90s every day! Thanks to Melissa, Laco and Mireye for a fantastic honeymoon!

I can't thank you enough for sharing your beautiful home in paradise with us. We have had a wonderful introduction to Zihuatanejo and we have been looked after so well by Laco and Mireye. Only one hospital visit for bacterial issue and one emergency IPhone repair after an unfortunate salt water incident but that is all part of the adventure! The local people are so welcoming and the sea is so gorgeous. The tireditas is one of the world's best kept secrets and will certainly bring us back to this part of the world. Mireye shared that a pinch of oregano is what truly makes it and we were lucky enough to catch a sailfish so we have had plenty. Again, I can't thank you enough for your advice, recommendations and warm hospitality. We understand that you are starting renovation tomorrow so good luck with that. We would love to return one day.
