Casa Los Monos, close to the center of Isabel 2 in a quiet safe local residential neighborhood just feet from the ocean. Close to restaurants, groceries, the beach, and great views. Just remodeled, secure & fresh on the rental market, you’ll love the house because of comfy beds, quality linens, fully equipped kitchen w gas range,well decorated, great art work from around the world. The house is good for couples, adventurers, and families of no more than 4. Beach chairs, towels, cooler provided.

The space

There is a very pleasant shaded outdoor seating area where you can gets a peek of the ocean and listen to waves below. There is a Weber gas grill that uses the small disposable canisters available in all the grocery stores and Colmados. Just across the street is a little used, public Bohio/Gazebo where you can take our beach chairs and go sit and be directly on the ocean and enjoy spectacular views and sunsets. Take a steep short path down to sea glass beach.

Check in is between 4pm and 8pm, by appointment only. No Check-ins after 8pm. We do not meet the ferry that leaves Fajardo at 8 pm. We do not provide transportation to the car rentals.

Help us keep our rates ridiculously low and avoid additional cleaning fees. We expect our guests to do their own dishes, take out the garbage and do a load of towels and leave them drying in the Dryer when they leave.

The Air Conditioning is to be on only when you are in the house. If this is not acceptable we can discuss an additional fee.

Residential neighborhood, please no loud noise after 10pm- There is a circular stair to the roof, please be very careful.

No Bleach allowed in house or laundry.


We are not a hotel and have no staff available for very early or very late check ins. Check ins are between 4pm and 8pm, by appointment only. Please do not ask for a late checkin. Checkout is at 11am. We may be able to let you in early if we do not have a check out the same day but never before 9am and never after 8:30pm. WE DO NOT MEET THE FERRY THAT IS SUPPOSED TO LEAVE FAJARDO AT 8PM. it is often hours late. Please make travel arrangements accordingly, we do not leave keys with a third party. This is a private home there is no lock box someone has to meet you. Plan to arrive before 8 pm or make other arrangements. We can not stress this strongly enough! Please check your travel possibilities before you book with us. If you arrive in San Juan after 2:30 PM and plan to come to Vieques the same day ,the only way to guarantee a 8 pm or earlier arrival is to Fly either from SJU , SIG or Ceiba. The ferry is unreliable . If you must take the ferry please try for the 1 pm from Fajardo as that is the least used and the most likely to get you here for our check in time.
We will send you a sheet to fill out that requests your travel arrangements. Please fill it out and return to us. We own or manage several rental properties and we need to know in advance how and at what time you will arrive. If you cannot get it to us because you do not have a scanner or fax PLEASE CALL US!
Keys must be returned to our office upon checkout, please never leave them in the house.

The description is very correct: Coqui Fire is the best restaurant on the island, and in the world (in my opinion). Coqui Fire is a must. The house had everything that we needed. There were ample towels, bedding, beach supplies, and kitchen ware. The neighborhood was very inviting with a very cool view overlooking the ocean at the end of the street. Car, jeep, and golf cart rental is within walking distance, as well as a grocery store and various restaurants.

This has got to be one of the best spots in Vieques. Helen was so helpful and her home is absolutely stunning. We had an absolute blast and enjoyed the beach that was just a short walk from the house. Our whole group loved this listing and we would all definitely stay here again!

Pros: House is located just a few blocks from the center of town; easily accessible to all local spots yet not in the midst of everything. Located on a dead end street with an overlook of the ocean at the end of the street (amazing!). Newly renovated and in SPECTACULAR condition. This place felt like home almost instantly; kitchen stocked with cooking utensils, shampoo/body wash in the bathroom, etc. Short walk to the little used Sea Glass Beach. Not the most spectacular beach, but it was nice to basically have a private Caribbean beach for a day! Helen was easily accessible by text/phone and was super friendly. She's the kind of host who will explain everything in detail, then leave you be for the remainder of your trip. But if you need anything, just ask her! Cons: None of these are serious but some travelers may care, so they are worth noting. The road that the house is located on has a few abandoned buildings; some soon to be renovated. A little scary at night...but kind of cool in my opinion. Although the neighbors are friendly and the street is safe/quiet, there are roosters nearby. And they crow often and loudly. If you're a light sleeper, bring some earplugs or grab the ones i left in the nightstand. :)

Excellent view and very comfort. Helen is a great person and very helpful. The house have everything.. towels, beach seats, air conditioners, oven and everything is clean. The right word to describe it is Perfect.
