Stephe was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Too often we only need a place to crash when on vacation, we wish we had the time to stick around and relax for a few more days in this very cozy and comfortable home. Although well located in the city it is quiet and relaxing. The interior is at once rustic and very modern. Great place for a short or an extended stay.

Stephe's place is probably one of the best AirBnB's I've been to (and I've been to a lot!). It suited me and two others perfectly. Very cozy, extremely relaxing and everything you need is close by. Stephe was very sweet, easy to get in touch with and helped us with anything we needed. Will definitely be back if we're in Exeter again :)

We had a wonderful 4 nights in Stephe Grays flat. It is a beautiful place in a great location! When we arrived Stephe greeted us warmly, showed us around made recommendations for the area. We were delighted to see that she had made an incredible spelt bread for us and had the fridge stocked with cream, butter and condiments. This was over an above and so appreciated! She also researched where my daughter could by a bike and even looked on Ebay for us for a used bike! So helpful. Thank you.

We loved this place. Stephe has created a charming, easy living place that was perfect for a stay of several weeks (in a great central location). Stephe gave us a warm welcome (even though a communication hitch meant we arrived earlier than expected). She went out of her way to help us get connected to the internet when our devices couldn't manage the original setup. During our stay Stephe touched base with us thoughtfully and unobtrusively, a great host. Much of the charm for us, and something not so apparent in photos or in other reviews, is the living space. The kitchen/lounge is a loft at the top floor of this maisonette. It is cosy and warm. When it rains you can enjoy the rain on the sky light. When the sun shines you can hear birds and see squirrels leaping between nearby trees. When the Cathedral bells are ringing, you can open the windows to enjoy the gentle sound. As Stephe and other reviewers note, the stairs and low ceilings won't be for everyone but we highly recommend this home and host - thanks Stephe!

Really cosy place to stay. Everything was there what you could need during a stay and Stephe is a lovely person who gave us a warm welcome. Especially the selfmade bread was a big and yummy sursprise to us. The communication was perfect. The children (6&9) loved their room as well. I can definitely recommend and would love to come back again one day.

Stephe's place is lovely and beautifully finished with some fab additional touches like the freshly baked bread and luxury beauty products in the bathroom. We all enjoyed our stay and the kids loved the cute fairy castle and lights. The location is great for getting into town and for heading down to the quay for a riverside dinner. Great place.

Response from Stephe:
Thanks for the lovely review, Anna. Great to meet you all and hope to see you again one day.

I'm a designer/maker and have also taught English for many years to foreign adults. I love travelling and meeting people from around the world. What else do I love? Good manners, dogs, flea-markets, jazz and that tea/cake combo about 3pm...guess that makes me English! I love my house too, and hope you like it enough to come and stay.
