The double room has recently been refurbished with carpet, paint and new furniture.

The space

Just a short drive from Sydney International Airport, beachside Brighton-Le-Sands is the ideal Sydney stopover destination.

The beach is clean and calm and lacks the crowds and hassle of the other Eastern Suburb beaches with the benefit of sweeping views of the airport. The beachside "Grand Parade" and adjacent Bay St offer an array of fantastic restaurants featuring Thai, Italian, Middle Eastern, South American and Modern Australian cuisine. Brighton is fast becoming one of Sydney's restaurant hot spots.
A public bus operates from Brighton-Le-Sands directly to Surry Hills and the CBD for a very low ticket price without the hassle of changing services and frequent rail services run from nearby Rockdale station.

This room is located on the terrace floor of a large modern security building on Bay St, just a minutes walk to the beach. An elevator is available and there is parking in the offsite public carpark located on Princess St.

The apartment features a large living area with television and dining suite plus a large indoor/outdoor rumpus room which is the ideal place to enjoy the afternoon over a few drinks. The rumpus room flows onto the private outdoor courtyard. Access to common areas is on a shared basis. You will have exclusive access to your room and bathroom.

The guestroom is double sized and features a wardrobe plus basic side table and a double bed with inner-spring mattress. The room has just been freshened with new paint and new carpet. The guestroom features exclusive use of a very large master bathroom with separate shower and large bathtub.

I have recently installed a television in the guest room for your exclusive use.

There is fan cooling in the bedroom. An air conditioner is located in the main living area.

An internal laundry with washer and dryer. The kitchen is available for preparing light meals only (salads, sandwiches etc). You are welcome to use the fridge to store food, however we don't provide guests with the facility to cook. There are multiple restaurants within a few minutes walk.

I work as airline crew and occupy the master bedroom with my partner. We have a new kitten who is well behaved and keeps out of the way. I am not home every night however would be happy to help you plan your time in Sydney or onwards travels as well as leave you in peace to relax.

Guest access

Guess have exclusive access to the guest bedroom. This features a double bed, built in wardrobe with drawers and side table. This room has just been refurbished and features a new double bed with innerspring mattress, bedsides, new carpet and paint. There is a large built-in wardrobe with hanging space and shelves for clothes etc. Linen, pillows and blankets are provided.

Guests have exclusive access to the master bathroom (we have our own ensuite). It is very large and features a wash basin, separate shower and bath tub. Towels are provided.

Guests are welcome to use the living area, however this is on a shared basis and not for permanent occupancy. Sleeping in the living room is not permitted. The laundry includes a washer, dryer and iron. You are welcome to use the fridge to store basic snacks, however we DO NOT provide guests with the facility to cook. There are multiple restaurants within a few minutes walk.

The main living areas have been recently refreshed with new timber flooring and paint.

There is visitor parking (limited) in the building, otherwise a free public garage is located behind the building. PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR RESERVATION - THIS IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS ONLY. For visitor parking, enter the building driveway and drive past the mailboxes. You will see an underground parking area to your right with open parking spaces. You are able to use any vacant space. Please do not park outside of marked spaces. The visitor parking is on a first come, first served basis and we are unable to guarantee a space. Entry to the public car park is via PRINCESS ST. Take BAY ST towards the beach, turn LEFT onto MOATE AVE and then LEFT onto PRINCESS ST. You will see the car park on your left.

Interaction with guests

We do not work Monday-Friday, 9-5 so may or may not see much of you during your stay depending on professional commitments. There is a guidebook in the room which will answer most questions, and of course you can send us message at anytime we are not home.

Other things to note

Please advise of your planned arrival and departure times when booking. Checkin is 19:00 and checkout is 12:00.

We have been receiving a lot of enquiries lately about pricing and availability. To save you the hassle of waiting, be advised that if the dates you input to AirBNB show as available then the room is definitely available for booking. The AirBNB system will not allow a double booking of the property. The price that the reservation system shows you is the final price including all levies and charges from AirBNB.

Please take a moment to read all information in the listing. It will answer most questions without needing to wait for a response from me.

All we ask of guests is not to smoke inside or in the rumpus room (however feel free in the courtyard) and to please keep the window in the room closed when you are out for security reasons.

We ask that you refrain from consuming hot, fragrant food in the bedroom. We have new thick plush carpet that does absorb odours which are difficult to remove.

The kitchen is available for light meals only (sandwiches etc). Cooking is NOT permitted. We have many restaurants that are only a minutes wal away.

The cat is not permitted outside so if you are using the outdoor area, you MUST close the screen doors and ensure that the cat is secured INSIDE.

You MUST ensure that all doors and windows are locked prior to going out.

Additional guests or visitors are not permitted.

Checkout is 12:00 midday.

If you don't know how to use something, ASK before trying please. We have had to replace numerous appliances due to guests breaking them.

Please use discression when using common areas. We are happy to share our space with you, however the key word will be share. Your rate includes exclusive access to your bedroom and bathroom only.

Please ensure you are familiar with AirBNB Payment and Cancelation policies. You don't need to provide any money to me directly, the AirBNB system handles all of this. What it quotes you is what it costs you :). We understand that travel plans can change, however that has an impact on us as well as you. If, for whatever reason (change of mind, change of flight details etc) you decide you cannot checkin, please consult the AirBNB policies that are clearly listed on this website.

You will be provided with a proximity access fob and key on arrival. Unfortunately, as the security fob is managed by an external company, we are charged $150 for replacement. Should a guest lose a fob and key set, a $150 charge will apply to cover our costs.

The instructions on how to get to the place, and how to get in were very clear. Both Dan and Sam were there when we arrived. The home itself is very comfortable. It was easy to unwind and relax. There was enough privacy also. It was great to have our own bathroom. There were lovely little considerations like WiFi info, and house rules, clearly displayed in the bedroom. Also, there were OPAL cards if you needs them, and toiletries in the bathroom. The place is withing walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach. I would love to stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Beautiful and clean apartment but is not allowed to cooking and we didn't feel at home. If you don't need to cook in your stay you can stay there.

Dan and Sam's home is spotlessly clean and comfortable. They are kind and considerate, and I would be very happy to stay with them again should I return to Sydney. Their guidebook and personal suggestions for where to eat were very handy; and the bottled water much appreciated.
