I feel compelled to respond to this review. Firstly, they were brought to the apartment by my resident taxi driver which I arranged for them as I do for all the guest who accepts the offer. I am always there to greet the guests on arrival and we shook hands and I took their bags up the stairs to the apartment.
On reaching the apartment I told them about the apartment including the motion lights which we joked about that would always come on as soon as you enter the apartment and stay on once you are in the room, so there is no need for switches(We joked that if you saw them on on approaching the apartment , you have a problem, but not that you are being robbed). I thought we had a laugh about it.
The guest on arrival found my neighbour cutting his fence with a chainsaw but that stopped about an hour after they arrived . They obviously could not be notified in advance since my neighbour does not give me his schedule for cutting his fences. I apologise for that but it is not the norm. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe and every house in the area has cctv.
I apologise for the doors slamming and the television being on in the main room. These were all the responsibilities of the guests. If the doors are left partially opened then the wind would blow them in, making a loud noise. Once you enter the apartment you have full control so it is your responsibility to turn off the television once you are going to bed.
Finally, the guest says that they were not told how to get in touch with me, the host. My telephone number is given to all guest on confirmation of their booking. Also since these guests used my resident taxi driver and called him for him to take them to the next apartment, they could have taken my number from him. He notified me of their intention to go. he also arranged another taxi for them since he was doing another job.
I apologise for the unpleasant stay at the apartment for this guest but wished that they had communicated with me better so that all their fears could be allayed.
