This cabin is a unique, one-of-a-kind Wood and Stone Riverside cottage w/Loft perched atop the Canadian Shield along the beautiful Gull River.
Come experience upgraded cottage ambience, comfort, relaxation and play.
Lots of water toys to play, fish and explore with.
If it’s raining outside, enjoy the unique crafted beauty inside. All the Wood and Stone with architectural detail throughout creates a warm inviting Cabin In the Woods.

The space
Painted Chairs is an inviting, comfortable, spacious Riverside cabin along the gently flowing Gull River.
A calming, natural place to unwind and relax...Inside the cottage or on the dock fishing or playing in the water with a variety of Water Toys or by the Fire-pit roasting marshmallows after a day of hiking on the Ganaraska Trail. Or relax on the fully furnished “air-conditioned” outdoor Cedar Deck w/Fire-Table
There is also unlimited Wifi and a Bose Bluetooth Speaker.
This cottage is all about ambience, inside and out.
...When it's raining outside, relax inside and experience the upgraded cottage ambience.
I embrace the Airbnb spirit of providing something unique for that special get-away.
It’s all about comfort and ambience

The cabin is a 2 hr. 20 min. drive from downtown Toronto.
-Drive thru Argyle on the way to the cabin, stop at the Bakery. Best pie in the Kawarthas! There are also Mennonite farmers markets on Argyle Rd.
The cabin is close to the beautiful small towns of Fenlen Falls, Kinmount, Coboconk, Norland, Minden Hills, Haliburton or Bobcaygeon for Antique store/barns, Art stores, Mennonite Farmers Markets, delicious restaurants and scenic falls.
-The Highland Cinema is located in the small town of Kinmount.
-Norland has one of the best restaurant in cottage country. The Riverside Inn. Voted #1 by everyone on Trip Advisor. Call for reservations on a Friday night.
Hiking on The Ganaraska Trail to Scrabble Mountain north of Moore falls is only 20 minutes away

The cottage is child-friendly. The clean sandy shallow shoreline beach is excellent for wading in.
Dive into the deep clean, summer warm (warmer than an open deep lake) waters of The Gull River using the diving board at the end of the dock. There are also floating tubes and a floating mat to play with in the water. There are also board games available for evenings or those rainy days.
Grab one of the kayaks, canoe or rowboat and go for an adventure down the Gull River and have a picnic on the grounds of an old hydro electric damn Elliott Falls or, go up to Moore falls and let the gentle current bring you back to the cottage. Canoe into the provincial park the "Queen Elizabeth Wild Wetlands" via Black Lake and then canoe though the park.
If your quiet you will see a Beaver or the Blue Herron down by the dock. Ducks, Blue Jays and Hummingbirds are always around
If you have a Boat/ski-jet there is Moore Lake, East Moore Lake, Black Lake and the Gull River.
Painted Chairs also provides ALL the Kitchen Essentials...coffee, filters, assorted teas, hot chocolate to start your day, also there are assorted spices, condiments, oil and vinegars to assist with lunches and dinner preparations.
