Exclusively Yours Cabin, Shared Grounds
Our red cabin is all yours — a separate detached building that includes its own kitchen, bathroom, sitting area, and propane barbecue, plus designated parking right behind the red cabin for easy access. The cabin sits behind our main farmhouse and attached Suite rental with a generous lawn in between, giving you your own peaceful retreat while the surrounding property, including walking trails and lawn, is shared with our family, staff, and other guests.

Cleaning Fee

Our cleaning fee helps cover the cost of hiring a professional cleaner to prepare the cabin between guest stays, ensuring it’s sparkling and ready for your arrival. We kindly ask that guests treat the space with the same care and respect they would their own home.

Pet-Friendly (Additional $40 Fee)

We welcome pets for a small additional fee and want everyone — two- and four-legged — to enjoy their stay.
• Dogs must be supervised at all times while outdoors. You should be outside with your dog to clean up after them.
• Off-leash is allowed near the cabin if your dog is well-behaved, stays nearby, and does not jump on, run at, chase, or disturb others.
• Leash is required if your dog is excitable, aggressive, or off the cabin area—especially on trails or in the bush, where other guests or neighbors may be walking.
• Clean up after your dog promptly. Towels for muddy paws are provided to keep our white linens clean.

Checkout Requirements

To help us prepare the cabin for the next guests, we kindly ask that you:
• Dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost (see your checkoutl message for locations)
• Gather all used towels and place into the laundry basket
• Carefully Wash any used dishes

Smoking Policy – No Indoor Smoking

Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please use the black container on the picnic table to dispose of cigarette butts, and do not leave them on the ground. We appreciate your help in keeping the cabin clean and enjoyable for all guests.

Bring Your Own Food & Ingredients

Our Country Cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing everything from a hearty breakfast to a delicious dinner. Please note that we do not stock food items, so feel free to bring any ingredients you’d like to use. We do not provide prepared meals or breakfast services, but the kitchen has everything you need to cook your favourites.

Nature & Wildlife

Part of the charm of staying on a working farm is sharing space with nature! You may spot ladybugs, flies, or even the occasional mouse. While we do our best to keep critters out of the cabin, we ask guests to embrace the little touches of farm life during their stay.

Summer Reminder: Mosquitoes

During the warmer months, mosquitoes can be present, especially near the fire pit or while using the BBQ. We recommend bringing insect repellent and wearing protective clothing, particularly in the evenings, to make the most of your outdoor time comfortably.

Winter Comfort & Access

Warmth & Heated Floors
Even though the cabin is heated, the main living and kitchen floors are not in-floor heated, so they may feel cold in the colder winter months. We recommend bringing thick socks or slippers to stay cozy. The bathroom floor is heated, providing warm comfort after a shower.

Plumbing & Water
In very cold weather, plumbing — especially the kitchen sink — can occasionally freeze. We provide backup water if needed, and there will always be running water in the bathroom to ensure your stay remains comfortable.

Snow Access & Privacy
We snowplow the laneway and parking area before your arrival, and we shovel the walkway to the front door. During your stay, for your privacy, a shovel is provided so you can clear snow near the entrance if needed — this keeps the walkway safe while allowing you to enjoy full privacy.

Eco-Friendly Stay

Our farm generates 60 kW of solar power and features reclaimed barn wood and sustainable building practices throughout. Enjoy a cozy, comfortable stay while knowing your visit supports eco-friendly living.

Guest access
Free Parking & Getting Here

Private, free parking is located just behind the cabin. Easy access and check-in instructions will be provided before your stay.

Fire Pit & Cozy Evenings

Relax in front of the wood fire pit just steps from your cabin — perfect for starry evenings. Firewood and kindling are available for $12 per bag; please request in advance to ensure availability during your stay. Firewood cannot be guaranteed on short notice, as we may not be on-site to provide it.

Walking Trails & Nature

Explore our 40-acre bush lot on gentle walking trails that wind through the trees — a peaceful way to connect with nature. Trails are not marked and are used at your own risk, so we recommend staying on visible paths. Some areas border neighboring properties, and other people may also be walking their dogs. To ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, we recommend keeping your dog on-leash and being mindful of other visitors and neighbors.

Biking

Our quiet, low-traffic area is ideal for cycling, with most nearby roads paved for a smooth ride. Please bring your own bikes, as we do not provide them on-site.

Winter Wonderland: Ski, Snowshoe & Toboggan

In winter, the countryside transforms into a peaceful snowy escape — perfect for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or tobogganing down the gentle hill behind the cabin. All winter activities are at your own risk, so please be aware of your surroundings, including trees and natural obstacles. Guests must bring their own gear, as we do not provide equipment. Dress warmly and enjoy the snow safely!
