You can't beat this location in one of Vancouver's most popular neighbourhoods. Walk to excellent restaurants & pubs, Kitsilano beach and Granville Island or spend the afternoon shopping on trendy 4th Avenue. Hop on a bus and get to UBC or Downtown in a matter of minutes.

The space
Private room with a shared bathroom (shared part-time only, when my son is home from university). Room includes a queen size bed, sitting area, small dining/ work table and a coffee station with a small fridge, microwave and a kettle. Perfect for weekend getaways, visits with friends or family and sight seeing trips to one of the greatest cities in the world.

Guest access
Shared bathroom (shared only when my son is home from university). No access to the kitchen but there is a small fridge, kettle, microwave, cups, glasses, dishes and cutlery in the room. We will replace any dirty dishes daily with clean ones for you so you don't even have to wash a dish!

During your stay
The bedroom is located in the basement level of the house and has it's own separate entrance so you will have a lot of privacy. My partner Lars and I live upstairs and are only a phone call or email away.

Other things to note
The house is a 106 year old heritage home with lots of charm. One of the original elements is that the the ceiling height in the basement where the bedroom is is 6' 5 inches (198 cm) so if you are very tall you may find you'll have to duck a bit. The shower was recently remodeled so it's normal height. My 6' 1 inch son can walk around and shower quite comfortably in the space.

You will have a lot of privacy as the room is away from the main living areas however if you are looking for an incredibly quiet space this may not be the one for you. The room is located beside the laundry and nearby another bedroom. In addition, it's a heritage house so the sound proofing isn't the same as a newly built house. If you are very sensitive to noise you may find the comings and goings around you disruptive.

This space is comfortable for two for a few days. We do not recommend this space for two people for longer term stays (beyond a week).

In addition, we are a very short walk to 2 major supermarkets, 2 drugstores and a Whole Foods. The area is a mixture of single family homes and apartment buildings. Lives in Vancouver, Canada
My partner Monique and I love to travel and the best vacations have always been the ones where we had an apartment to stay in. We loved walking to the bakery in Bayeux for fresh pastries, shopping in the local supermarket in Cuzco and chatting with people on the street in Valparaiso. Above all, it is great returning to Vancouver every time. Our home is very convenient and comfortable. A perfect home away from home so you can really experience Vancouver up close and personal. Vancouver is a great city and I can't recommend it enough. Come stay and be comfortable in our house.
