We had a really great stay at Jane's fantastic home which was set amongst the vineyards in the beautiful French countryside - perfect for getting away from it all! The barn was incredibly spacious and and comfortable. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend Jane's home as the perfect location for exploring this area of France.

My husband and I are still amazed at the place Jane & Mike have renovated in the Dordogne. It’s a wonderful mix of 700 year-old barn and modern conveniences. They have managed to incorporate much of the original stone structure with upgrades, creating a spacious and original accommodation that they inhabit part of the year themselves. The pictures on their Airbnb site do a great job of capturing the interior, but the setting also is spectacular, located adjacent to vineyards that border their land. Though it’s wonderfully situated in the countryside, it also is close to many villages, and the secondary roads offer easy connections to the main sites in the area. We visited Lascaux one day. On another, we had a leisurely drive along the Dordogne River to La Roque and Beynac. St. Emillion, a World Heritage site, is only a 30 min. drive. And we loved visiting Bergerac, a larger town on the Dordogne, that has a wonderful older section by the waterfront. But most of all we enjoyed hunkering down in Jane & Mike’s attractive accommodation, enjoying the quiet and the ambiance. Our only problem was the 100 plus degree heat we hit on our first three days there, apparently a rare occurrence. Otherwise, staying at this Airbnb was a highlight of our month-long trip to France. And Pellegrue has a huge Intermarche (supermarket) where we found everything we needed for our larder.

Amazing old barn fully renovated by lovely Australian couple. Beautiful setting among vineyards. A little way from nearest villages so would recommend having a car but there are some great drives from here through the surrounding countryside. Couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Jane made us feel so welcome, the home was spotless, spacious and perfectly located. Jane's home has so much character with nooks and crannies that make it so beautiful. All the rooms in the house are gorgeous added to by the tasteful decor.

We have just had the most amazing first night in our adopted new country - France. With one day to go before completion on our house purchase we chose to stay at Jane and Michael's - and let's say we were not disappointed! Everything from the welcome, to the setting and of course the house itself was magical. We thourougly enjoyed our stay with the hosts and found the whole experience brilliant. We can't wait to see them again once we are settled. See you soon. Best wishes Colin and Joanna.

Michael & I are a retired Australian couple who enjoy renovating our fabulous home in rural South West France. We love wandering at leisure through the vineyards and forests with our dog Charlie. Our favourite occupation is entertaining friends on our sunny terrace with a glass or two of wonderful local wine. In the Winter we bunker down in front of the fire with a good book or good company but always with a glass of wine. We try to get back to Australia once a year to visit family but otherwise prefer to stay home and enjoy the charm of the local villages and markets. We love meeting people and look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our home should you choose to visit.
