Devaki's place is a quiet and quaint place away from the town of Kalpetta. The rooms and stay, including food is pretty basic and simple. The hosts were helpful in booking us a cab for local sight-seeing, though we had to leave earlier than the planned stay due to some issues they had with registration. However, they were cooperative in managing the refunds accordingly. Had a good time overall, would stay there again if i'm visiting.

This was my first visit to Kerala and it couldnt have been better. The place is at very nice location with paddy fields and coconut trees all around. The host was very good (specially Devaki) and I learnt a lot about the culture and history of Kerala.

I stayed there for 2 nights and it was just amazing. Everything about this home stay is perfect from the location to people, everything is just spot on. The team at RASTA did a great job in making sure that the guests feel comfortable. If you wanna experience Waynad the way it is, you probably would want to stay here. If you are someone who is looking for a fancy place, this might not be the best place. All in all an amazing experience and I'll definitely be coming back to stay and experience Waynad!

The host was great and the work they are doing in the community is fantastic! Really great job! The room was okay, bed was very hard and bathroom had a bit of a smell but apart from that everything was fine. Thanks for having us!

Devakie's was a nice place to stay. The landscape was beautiful and it was Nice to walk around. Also, the food was good and the staff was friendly. However, it was inconvenient that there was nobody that spoke english. Furthermore, the price of the room was too high for what we got. It wasn't that clean and the hot water didn't function.

Our stay at RASTA was truly unique. We had such a wonderful few days. The RASTA organisation is hugely inspirational and is doing great things for developing the rural area and social equality. The room was basic but comfortable clean and the food was delicious and very reasonable. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly and helped us plan our day trips as well as having friendly long chats over cups of tea and cake, Thank you RASTA team we cannot wait to return! :)

I work as a Manager at Devaki's Kitchen Guesthouse and RASTA. The two are situated amongst, and directly associated with each other.

I invite you to come and enjoy a unique experience by staying on the site of an NGO in beautiful, rural Wayanad!

The Rural Agency for Social and Technological Advancement (RASTA) has been working in Kerala since 1987. RASTA focuses on marginalized people in our society, like indigenous people, small farmers, women and children, as well as the preservation of our rich and diverse nature.

By choosing to stay at Devaki’s Kitchen Guesthouse you will be directly contributing to RASTA and the projects they run.

Please visit our website for more information.

We look forward to meeting you.
