Thank you Ruty, it was very easy communicating with you, even with time delay , i had always wanted to stay in a Brownstone house, and this was great, It was easy to get into Manhattan each day, on the C line but my feet are blistered now from the amount of walking we all did to try and see everything, Once again thank you for the stay in your charming home Kind regards Peter Nugent

Two families came to the area to visit a daughter who was graduating from Columbia in NYC. Because the daughter lived in Brooklyn, we stayed there. The restaurants in a 2-3 mile radius were amazingly good. We had a 10 minute walk to the subway and were easily able to take the A train to Manhattan. The house is large with 3 floors and 3 narrow staircases. The kitchen is well-equipped and the living room on the middle floor is a good central gathering area for those sharing the home. We walked to restaurants and grocery stores and found the neighbors to be friendly. Dia, the tenant on the fourth floor, quickly answered our questions as needed.

Excellent trip and stay at rutys house. Don't listen the taxi driver the quarter is safe. Plenty of space in the house, 2bathrooms with wc, comfortable beds big rooms and good equipped kitchen leading to little garden and all perfectly clean. Dia living upstairs very nice and discrete. You live in a big city it's noisy but you get used to it rapidly. A 5min walk to kingston troops metro station to the c train which leads you to down Manhattan in26min. Ny and food is expensive but you find a lot of markets and fast food around and 1 market right next to the house. We were a group of 5 and stayed 8 days and thank ruty and dia for the nice stay we had.

Ruty's long term guest, Dia, greeted us and gave us the key. She is very nice and won't interrupt anything. Overall the house is pretty nice, the narrow townhouse has 3 floors for the guests, connected using a narrow wooden staircase. BUT THERE IS SERIOUS ANT PROBLEM IN THE KITCHEN, partially due to the fact that the first floor is directly besides the backyard. Don't put any food outside overnight.

Response from Ruty:
Hello Yu Thank you for your feedback. However, I would to clarify some of your comments. We DO NOT have a serious ant issue. But as you stated, the fridge is next to the back garden door and so we WARN all guests not to leave food outside. There is a large laminated sign on the fridge door advising all guests to not leave food out- because of the ants. We are very concerned that people will think our house is dirty. We are proud to keep our home scrupulously clean and have the house fumigated every 2 months. Having said that, we are very happy you had a good stay, enjoyed our house and found your greeter to be so helpful. Please come again! Thank you

It was great to experience a 'real' Brooklyn neighbourhood, friendly, close to subway and quiet for an urban area.
