We love our place and know you will too! We have high ceilings, tons of natural light, a couple of great living spaces and an unbeatable location; 5 minutes to downtown and walking distance to tons of amazing restaurants, cafe's and bars. The place is best for couples but is able to accommodate up to four people if two are willing to sleep on our couch and love seat (short but very comfortable).

The space

We live in a large, older apartment situated in an old 1920's tudor house. Situated in Austin's oldest and most beautiful neighborhood, there are a ton of places to walk to and a lot of charm! We have built in bookshelves and an antique dining table built in in the kitchen. This place does not have an updated/modern kitchen (again heavy on charm) but we do have a gas stove and microwave.

Guest access

You can access everything except the closets.

Interaction with guests

We go out of town typically when we've hosted in the past so although I am available through text we will have you check yourself in and out.

Lauren was a very accommodating host. Her home was very cozy and tastefully decorated with very interesting antiques and knick knacks. We spent a lot of time looking at all of the pictures and art! The apartment is definitely as advertised - an adorable, but older property. If you're looking for modern appliances and granite countertops, I would look elsewhere. If you don't care about staying in a cookie cutter corporate apartment, then you will have a great time staying in this cozy spot! We walked to Austin Java for breakfast (per Lauren's suggestion) and had some great coffee. Lauren left us everything we needed....fluffy towels, extra blankets and pillows, and helpful notes for turning on lights, etc. We had 3 people stay and there was more than enough space. I would definitely recommend staying here to others. It's a great place to crash after a long day of climbing, and it's close enough to 6th street and a bunch of dive bars to make for a great Saturday night! Thank you, Lauren!! Ps- make sure you take advantage of the little park behind the apartment. Cute picnic spot!
