Enjoy the peaceful tranquility of Posada Nordica - a chic mountainview suite. Listen to the rushing waters of Silver Creek just outside your door, the song birds singing in the forest surrounding you while basking in the beauty of towering mountains all around. Stroll through the gardens, stargaze while sitting fireside, or unwind with a hot shower in the newly renovated nordic style spa bathroom or cozy up in the ambience of your bedside fireplace.

The space
Attached to our home yet very private, this suite is like a cozy cottage-style hotel room. 490 square feet of bright open-concept space with a chic mix of Nordic and Mexican style.

Inside the suite there is a very comfortable queen size bed, a spa style bathroom, small dining/work space, and basic kitchenette with coffee/tea maker, bar fridge and microwave (no sink, stove/oven or BBQ). A/C unit (removed in winter) and electric fireplace allow you to temperature control the space.

Double doors open to a covered deck with seating to enjoy your morning hot beverage listening to beautiful chorus of birds, or enjoy an evening meal listening to the sounds of the river while overlooking the beautiful gardens full of flowers. Enjoy your private section of the backyard space staring up at the stars as you sit around a cozy fire.

There is shared access to the rest of the yards surrounding the attached main house (owner-occupied) including edible gardens all around (help yourself and pick whatever you’d like!)

This suite has its own private guest parking driveway long enough to fit two vehicles, your boat or camper/RV.

Walking distance to the neighbourhood pub Silver Chalice, Italian restaurant Mia Pizza & Pasta, convenience store/small grocer Harv's Country Market at the Esso, as well as the Silverhope Creek Trail along the river, and a riverside picnic area on the corner of Flood-Hope Rd and Silver Skagit Rd. Ricki's All Day Grill and Subway are also within walking distance just a little further.

10 minutes drive or a lovely 45 minute bike ride to Silver Lake Provincial Park - great for paddleboarding! 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk to the famous Serpent's Back hiking trail and The Core mountain bike trail network. 5 minute drive into town for all of Hope's amenities and activities like our world class sturgeon fishing and Kawkawa Lake for swimming, and excellent restaurant options like Mountainview Brewing, Nomad, and Hope Mountain Cafe.

Guest access
To access the suite, please enter on the right side of the house. Walk up the gravel driveway, up the wooden stairs to the backyard. Follow the deck around the corner where you will see the double doors to enter the suite. Door code will be provided on check-in day.

Other things to note
Please note that we have two cats in our house which is connected to the guest suite. The cats are never in the guest suite but if you have a severe allergy to cats we wanted to let people know. They are outside on leash sometimes so if you bring a pet, please ensure it’s leashed at all times while outside.

Also note that our home is on septic so guests need to be sensitive with the plumbing. Only #1 and #2 in the toilet; everything else including toilet paper must be placed in the garbage bin provided (has motion-sensor lid so no touching is required). Thanks!

Neighbourhood highlights

Silver Creek is a scenic, quiet residential neighbourhood conveniently located right off the highway. Everywhere you look, you see towering mountains and old growth trees all around, and hear the sound of its namesake Silver Creek and lovely birdsong. With far less light pollution that town, stargazing here right in the yard is incredible!
