Rumah Madukismo is a modern minimalist house hidden behind a 'pendopo', a Javanese structure on columns. The design was done by architect Lada Hršak (HR), in collaboration with the owners, the artists Teguh Hartanto (ID) and Su Tomesen (NL).
The house is located in a 'kampung', just south of the Jogjakarta ringroad. You'll have the experience of living in a Javanese village surrounded by paddy fields, whereas the sultan palace and touristy Jalan Prawirotaman are only 15 minutes away by bicycle.
