A Georgian house in market town close to Staffordshire and Shropshire border; ideal for touring central England. Near to World Heritage first iron bridge in the world and Charles 11's Boscobel Oak. Can accommodate another 2 guests in second bedroom.

The space

Our period house is situated about 5 minutes walk from Newport town centre. The house retains many period features, but is furnished to modern taste. The main guest bedroom has original Georgian windows. Our hall has Minton Victorian floor tiles and an antique door bell sounds like Downton Abbey!

We accommodate 2 people in a the main guest bedroom which has an en suite shower room. Guests in the main guest bedroom have their own TV / DVD player, free tea & coffee making facilities & toiletries. There is a second double bedroom which is additionally available if we have a group of four staying. This does not have a TV. The guests in this room share the bathroom, which is large and very modern. As a result we can accommodate a family of 4. The second bedroom also has tea and coffee making facilities and free toiletries.
FULL PRICE LIST: (all include vegetarian / vegan cooked breakfast):
Main bedroom: first guest £40, second guest £20 = £60 in total for two people
Additional bedroom : first guest £20, second person £20. (N.B. This second room is only available for a group or family of four who book the main guest room as well)

We offer a selection of great vegetarian breakfasts, which will appeal to both vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Our menu features homemade preserves,local Staffordshire oatcakes, free-range eggs, soy products, Fairtrade coffee, locally made breads, and organic fruit from our garden most of the year, including - depending on the season - tomatoes, raspberries, peaches,strawberries, figs, pears & apples.

Bikes can be accommodated in our coach house. The bus stop for Stafford and Telford / Ironbridge, which links with train services, is 200yards away. We are close to the C55 cycle route.

Guest access

Guests can use the bedroom and, of course, the dining room. Also, guests can use our lovely garden at any time and breakfasts can be served there if guests wish it.

This is a very nice and lovely place to stay if you are visiting Newport you could sit in the beautiful garden with a cup of tea, and enjoy very good breakfast. The host is very nice and helpful, so we will really recommend this place!
