We had a great stay in the wonderful stone house in Montemarcello. We stayed nearly two weeks with a child of two years in the house and enjoyed the wonderful area: 5 minutes walk to the beautiful village, fantastic garden with olive trees with a charming house and you can reach so many nice places to visit as Sarzana, Lerici, Lucca or Pisa. And of course you can walk on the trails or enjoy the sea and the beaches. Patrizia the mother of Jacopo made us a very nice welcome at the house and we we were happy every moment we spend there.

It's a beautifully restored storehouse in an olive grove. Absolute tranquillity but the town is in walking distance. Jacopo was most helpful and we loved staying there. It is an ideal location for discovering the area by foot or by car.

Our 10 days’ stay at Jacopo’s house was such a precious experience that you actually would rather keep it for yourself as something special to cherish, instead of sharing it with everyone. But anyway – I am not going to be selfish. Hereby my feedback. About the owner. From the very first minutes we were charmed and touched by the warm welcome of Jacopo and his mother (tea and a homemade fig cake!). It was a pleasure to meet these open-minded people who entrusted their house to us. No need to say that Jacopo was very helpful, and we received all the necessary instructions to orientate locally. The house is fully equipped, you will find everything you might need. Moreover, it is furnished with taste, harmonious and inspiring (I loved Laura Fiume’s prints). It has a huge garden, where we spent all the mornings (what about reading in hammock under the olive trees?) and evenings (stillness, from time to time interrupted by the sounds of cicadas & owls). By the way, the temperature was perfect even on hot days since the house is located on the hill. The beach was, I believe, the best one around that area. Although you should be able to enjoy walking down and up the hill for about 20 minutes, what we actually did enjoy (a perfect daily workout). Although if a workout is not for you, you can reach other beaches by car or go to this special one by boat (as the local people do). The town Montemarcello is, in my opinion, as beautiful as the famous Cinque Terre, but much less touristic. Ok, here I stop. The rest you should discover yourself. Jacopo, thank you! Hope to meet you again!

First, Lucy and Jacopo welcomed us warmly, with fresh home made iced tea and big fruit cake (thanks Lucy!). We spent a gorgeous journey in this very cute stone house in the middle of olive trees. Ideal place for quiet family holidays. Have breakfast and dinner in the garden; it's wonderful!!! The area is beautiful, full of places to visit. Please do try the magnificent pasta and delicious italian ice cream. It is so good ! 25 minutes down the home, reach Punta Corvo beach. carefull! It's a bit hard to take this walk, but so gorgeous... Jacopo is a very nice and friendly host who made our stay enjoyable, available over the phone and through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) during all the stay. By chance, he speaks fluent English, and her girlfriend Lucy is Scottish, so choose your language, French also. We deeply recommend this place for 5 persons. You can drive around in some nice places like Sarzana.

Da Jacopo non siamo state ospiti, siamo state a casa e torneremo e torneremo e torneremo. A chi, fra il nostro andare e tornare, occuperà la casa, raccomandiamo la stessa cura con cui Jacopo e la sua famiglia la trattano e hanno trattato noi. Jacopo uno di noi!
