A great stay among the trees off Sigiriya's beaten track. Price is for a double room and there are also two triples available.
Bhagya's is a nice and well-kept family homestay amidst a big, lush garden. The home has one double room and two triple rooms, all with attached bathrooms. Featuring a big veranda with a few tables and some traditional furniture, you can chill out and dine comfortably. You can also hang out in the garden, where there are many mango, coconut and jack fruit trees, several herbal plants like curry, as well as flowers such as roses. A very nice place to stay after and before trips to famous Sigiriya.
Interaction with guests
Palitha's son Bhagya does most of the hosting here. Able to speak some English (and Russian!), he manages guests and bookings together with his mom. His father, Mr. Palitha, is a school principal in Kandalama. Together they cook Sri Lankan and Indian dishes if you like, especially roti's. The family has their own tuk tuk and can arrange transport and tours upon request. A very nice and warm family.
