Where you’ll be

Lawrence, Kansas, United States

Our neighborhood is historic Old West Lawrence with quiet, peaceful, tree lined streets. A twelve-block section of the neighborhood was the first neighborhood to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, back in the 1960"s. There is a range of beautiful houses dating back to the time of Quantrill's raid on Lawrence in 1863. There are brick streets and alleys on most blocks.

Lawrence is a town with much to offer. Live music venues abound downtown, and restaurants range from casual to fine dining. A few blocks south is the Spencer Art Museum, and the KU Natural History Museum.

There are trails along the river for strolling, running or biking. The Burroughs trail runs through East Lawrence, and Baker Wetlands on the south edge of town is a peaceful spot for nature lovers.

Things are especially lively in East Lawrence and downtown on Final Fridays when dozens of Lawrence galleries and businesses — from coffee shops to restaurants to salons and even dentist offices open their doors to display the work of local artists.
