Welcome to my BnB. It is based in St Leonards-on-Sea, a charming area of East Sussex, just next to Hastings. Five minutes walk to the seaside, local shops and amenities and situated in a pleasant, quiet road. I am the sole occupier of the flat, so you will only share facilities with myself, plus you have your own private toilet (with basin, but not a full bathroom, just to be clear) en suite. Anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, just ask!
I live in a basement flat, below a large house occupied by a friend. The guest room is not huge, but does benefit from it's own en suite toilet with wash basin. Storage is under-bed only, but to help with this, I have provided a couple of long boxes. There are also hooks on one door and a foldout hanger for suits etc. on the other. The double bed is brand new, pocket-sprung and very comfortable, with new Egyptian cotton linens.
You are welcome to share all the rooms apart from my own, plus there is a patio area outside, that forms part of the upstairs house's garden.
Interaction with guests
I am here to help! I have a car, so I can pick you up from the station if needs be. If I'm not around, I will arrange someone to meet and greet you, as I have lots of nice, helpful friends living very close by.
Breakfast is provided on a 'help yourself' basis. Cereal, bread/toast, fruit, fruit juice, coffee and tea.
Other things to note
My upstairs neighbour's daughter likes to play the piano on occasion, for about half an hour. This is restricted to after 10am at weekends and is not directly above the room, but you may hear it. If it's a problem, I can talk to them - they are friends and very nice people and will be happy to curtail activities if asked.
Also, the entire house, which my flat is part of, is on the market so there may be occasional visits by prospective buyers. I will make sure to inform any guests of the times when these viewings take place and they usually take no more than 5 minutes.
With regards to booking enquiries, I always respond within 1-2 hours, if not much quicker (usually a few minutes), unless there is an unusual reason, so don't worry on that front. I have stopped using instant booking because I prefer to get a flavour of the guest before I agree to let them stay. I hope you appreciate this and are willing to let me know a bit about yourself and any additional guest you may be travelling with. I like communication! I really appreciate it when I send a message and get a reply, (probably like most people) it makes the whole process so much easier and more pleasant. I also find that a profile with a bit of information (and preferably a review or two) is a lot more reassuring than just a photo. Thanks for your attention.
Other than that, I mainly require respect for myself and the flat. This means being quiet late at night and cleaning up after yourself. The usual stuff!
Having had so many amazing experiences as a guest, I would like to return that hospitality as a host. I have travelled across Western Europe and Japan using Airbnb and met so many lovely people.
I am an obsessive music lover and play the bass guitar, plus a general art and culture lover. I am also a good cook and love to share that, so as a guest in my place you may get a taste of whatever's on the menu that night...
Hope to meet you soon.
