Peace and quiet

This home is in a quiet area.
Enjoy the quiet-side of Mount Desert Island from this shorefront cottage facing land owned and protected by Acadia National Park. Centrally located on the island, Hodgdon Pond Farm is a peaceful retreat. The 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage is fully furnished.

Guests have their own dock and boats including canoe, kayaks, dinghy and SUP's. The play area at the little ponds and games field in the lower field are shared with people in Cottage 2.

We just listed this cottage, but are experienced hosts.

The space
The cottage offers three bedrooms and two baths. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, each with two twin beds, a bath with shower and washer/dryer, a living room /dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom and bath with tub/shower are on the second floor and there is also a twin bed in the loft.

The sitting area outside includes six Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, two grills, and a hammock all overlooking the water and land owned and protected by Acadia National Park. There is a private dock and boats including a dinghy, canoe, kayaks, and SUP's as well as a shared swim float.

The play area with swing set, sand box, and seating at the nearby little ponds and the games area at the lower field are shared between the two cottages.

Perhaps most important, Hodgdon Pond Farm is also home to birds and animals including beaver, mink, muskrat, deer, otter, and so many others! What will you see?
