Hebden Bridge:

Hebden Bridge has been designated the "Best Town in Britain for 2011" and "The Quirkiest Town in Britain". The many walks available will take you quickly out of the valley, up the hillside and on to the moorlands as described in the Bronte Sisters' novels and James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small" books. The sense of community and hospitality is soon evident as you walk across the cobbled streets and meet the true Yorkshire folks and explore this historical, yet lively, and most livable corner of England. The smell of bacon sandwiches in the town square in the morning is something indefinable. Time well spent and a place where memories are made.

Hebden Bridge is nestled in the steep sided valley of the confluence of the Hebble and Calder rivers mid way between Leeds and Manchester, in Calder Vale in West Yorkshire.

It is located close to the main A646 Burnley / Halifax Road, and it is just an 1 and a half hour drive from Manchester International Airport.

Calderdale Terraces is only a 2 minute walk from Hebden Bridge's town square, which makes this an exceptional base from which to explore and enjoy this historical part of West Yorkshire. An 8 minute walk away is the Hebden Bridge railway station, which has a frequent service to both Manchester and Leeds, connecting to total UK rail network.

House was spotlessly clean and extremely central. Rooms were all spacious especially the top floor master bedroom and ensuite. Parking is also very easy. Would definitely return.

Great base from which to explore the lovely town of Hebden Bridge and the Rochdale Canal. All amenities, shops, restaurants, station and the canal were just a couple of minutes walk from the property. However, although very central, the house is in a quiet residential street of older terraced houses. Care is needed when driving through the narrow cobbled streets leading to the house and you will need to pull in your wing mirrors once you have parked! The property looks small from the street, but inside it is surprisingly spacious and modern, with well decorated accommodation on three floors. As my brother and I were walking the Rochdale Canal, the property's position suited us perfectly - easy to reach the Canal and station and , if you wanted to eat out, plenty of lively pubs/restaurants in close proximity.

Staying on top of the details is important to Janice and I to ensure that we offer the house that meets our guests expectations. So staying on the details is important. Perfect location for enjoying all that Hebden Bridge has to offer. Literally 2 mins walk to the centre, a great Italian restaurant about 1 min away. The house is beautifully done out with good quality furnishings. The kitchen was really well equipped and there was tea, coffee, fresh milk and any condiments you might want. The house was spotless with plenty of towels provided. 2 generous doubles and 1 single room with plenty of storage space throughout. 2 bathrooms and a downstairs loo. There is on-street parking. There are lots of signs saying permit only but you just need to put a note in your windscreen saying were you are staying. We spoke to the neighbours about this and they are cool with people parking here as long as they are staying in the road. Paul responded quickly to any queries I had and Joanne who is the local contact was helpful in sorting out arrival and departure arrangements. Lots of great walks from the doorstep; what more could you want?

This a fantastic house - really comfortable and in the perfect location. Super close to the centre of town, shops, pubs and train station but tucked away down a quiet side street so just out of the bustle. I live in Hebden and we hired this place when we had a big group of visitors staying and needed more space than our house. It was perfect, we'll definitely be doing this again!
