Our apartment is a great place for young travelers who want to see New York City the way the locals do. I love to travel and know how the authentic experience can be special. Whether you are here as a student, for business or just touring my room/apartment is a great quiet spot to get work done and also explore the city.
This is a shared space with 1 female and 3 male roommates. They are all young professionals in our late 20s.
Our apartment is clean, spacious (for NY ;) , and has a great vibe in the household. My room is on the smaller side, but has a TV, desk/vanity, and room to move about. Feel free to spend time on the balcony, kitchen area, or the living room. You are allowed anywhere in the apartment with the exception of the other occupants rooms. Your room has a lock on it as well if needed. If it seems get warm in the room feel free to put on the A/C or open the window.
Just be aware that 4 other occupants live in the space so bathrooms, kitchen, and living room are shared. Most roommates are busy, young professionals and will be gone during the day M-F. It is rare that all of us are home and using the common areas all together.
Interaction with guests
Unfortunately, I will be out of town so most of the interactions will be with one of my roommates. I will send you all a message prior to your arrival with all cell phone numbers attached just in case. But, I will be your main contact if there are any issues.
- Smoking outside on the balcony (420 included)
- 4 other roommates (non-airbnb) live at the household so please be respectful of their belongings and rooms
- I will leave notes to communal food/pantry items
- No outside guests unless it has been discussed with myself and other roommates
- Feel free to contact me for any issue at anytime! Text or call
My name is Casey and I recently started hosting, but I have been using Airbnb for years. I have lived in many countries and LOVE traveling myself. I know how it feels to be on long train rides, hostels without hot showers, flying through terrible weather and getting lost (not always a bad thing). But, I want to make your stay totally worth your while so please let me know how I can help make your stay unforgettable.
Currently, in NYC I live in a multi-national apartment in East Harlem/UES. My roommates and I are a family. We cook together, drink, watch tv, and go out together. I am a nanny so I travel quite a bit with the family I work for. While I am away from my lovely apartment I'd love to share it with some fellow travelers!
