Sarah is a fantastic host, who made lots of great suggestions on what to see and where to eat in Edinburgh. The flat is in Leith, which is close to the city centre - we walked to Princess in about 15 min along Leith Walk, which is a bustling stretch of pubs and restaurants. On our last night, at Sarah's suggestion, we eat out in the wharf in Leith. It's a lovely area and worth a visit. Sarah's flat comfortable, well provisioned and provided a great home base for our trip.

Thanks for the note on improvement. I will sort this out for the next time. Hope you enjoyed your time in Glasgow and return trip south.

Very accommodating host, made it possible to check in very late - great location to get into the centre. Thanks for providing all the information about the fringe!

Sarah was a great host. She welcomed us when we arrived (early check in!) and even provided us with seltzer water and made us a holiday card. Her home is comfortable, well-equipped, and in a great location. The bus was very close, and we even walked back from downtown one night. Sarah gave us a lot of tips and checked in regularly to make sure we were having a great time. She was wonderful, and I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to go to Edinburgh!

We stayed at Sarah's flat for two nights during the fringe festival, there were a number of issues with the flat that whilst weren't directly Sarah's fault did detract from our enjoyment of the stay; light circuits in kitchen and living room not working, dead mouse found after first night, keys to the flat very stiff in lock. Sarah did explain the first problem prior to us arriving but there wasn't really anything that could be done as we were already en route to Edinburgh, she also offered to clean up dead mouse and replace keys but as we were out and about this wasn't really practical. Overall Sarah was a nice host and apologetic about the issues but the flat wasn't up to the standards as advertised, and we were left feeling like we should have stayed in a hotel for the money where such issues would not exist. Again none of the above is a reflection on Sarah who was a gracious host and offered a bottle of wine for our troubles and also let us have a late check-out to match our train times, but I wouldn't stay again given the issues we experienced.

Response from Sarah:
I'm sorry you felt that way Kate. The lights are now all working again and fault happened the morning on your arrival, so I was unable to arrange for an electrician to fix it before you arrived. There were plenty of alternative lamps you could use in the room. The mouse was outwith my control, I'm sorry you had to experience that. And I had alternative keys for you which I was happy to drop off. I feel your judgement a little unfair and I don't think you would have found a hotel room of the same price during the festival.

The welcome, help advice and communication were very good. The flat was light and comfy for 2. Everything in the kitchen worked, and the shower had power. Location is great for driving to nearby coast.

A fantastic flat, a quick walk from the center of Edinburgh. We stayed for a week of the fringe festival and found it was a great base.

Hey! I lived in this beautiful city, Edinburgh for the last 15 years. Claims to be one of the meccas of the world, rated top places to live by many reputable sources and I guess that's why I stayed here after studying for my degree at Art College! I am now working as an Interior Designer and a part time youth worker. In my spare time I like to go to festivals, travel, practice yoga, eat out - especially tapas, camping, belly dance, BBQs, climbing, go to gigs and out clubbing.
