Please have a read my reviews. I have provided relocation and holiday homes since 2009.

Welcome to your unique holiday location with everything you need right on your doorstep.
It is a quiet safe neighbourhood with walking access to local supermarkets, entertainment, beaches, and transport links.
Our eco- friendly (solar, water tanks, inverter aircons, insulation, pool covers etc) are waiting for you to make them your home during your stay.

With gorgeous beaches on your doorstep (Port Noarlunga and Christies have kilometres of unspoilt beaches and Port Noarlunga was won Australia’s cleanest beach award in 2009). There are shopping centres, cinemas, sports centres, gyms, and transport hubs only a few minutes’ WALK away and everything is within easy reach.
You can take a walk along our beachside esplanade walk or through a local reserve complete with kangaroos! Our local area is unique and unspoilt. The Port Noarlunga jetty is a popular angling and diving spot and it’s protected by a natural reef with ideal swimming conditions. The adjacent beach at Port Noarlunga South is a popular surfing spot.
Hire snorkelling gear and be amazed at the amount of marine life you can spot around the jetty and reef.

The wine-lands district of McLaren Vale and quiet coastal towns are also only a short 12 to 15 minutes distance away. There isn’t any other suburb that has so much variety of activities or places within such a short distance from them.
If you are looking for scenic walks, a lazy evening watching the sunsets over the ocean or a walk to local eateries this is the place. Relax and enjoy the ambience of the garden and the visiting birds.
We are so fortunate to have so much to offer. For those families that are relocating to our suburb the popular Port Noarlunga primary school is only a 900m walk away and there are supermarkets and shops in Beach Road, parks, tennis courts, bowling green, footy oval and reserves just around the corner.

You can let yourself in at any time so arriving on a late flight is not a problem: self-check in by means of combination key safe outside of the house (no issue with arriving late).
I have additional homes for rent and it’s always possible to split your stay between different homes if you require a longer period.
The larger house available for rent (Seaview house) is situated at the front of this home.
If required there is a shared play area with swing and slide.

I have been asked many questions over the years and supply a Q and A section to help with the common ones:

Q: How far is the local beach from your home?
A: There are two local beaches. Christies Beach is 900m away from the Christies Beach homes and Port Noarlunga beach is 1300m. You can easily walk there within 10 to 15 minutes.

Q: I have checked your calendar and some of the dates that I require are already booked. Can I split my booking between different homes?
A: You certainly can. I have 5 homes next door to each other and two that are only 4 roads away. Just send me a message and we can try to accommodate you. Many guests who relocate don’t secure another rental in time and it often happens that they move to another house until they are all sorted.

Q: How far is your local primary and high school?
A: Port Noarlunga primary school is less than 1km from all my homes. There is a preschool (Freda Corpe) at Port Noarlunga primary. The local high school is 1200m away and is a short walk.

Q: I am having treatment at Noarlunga hospital. How close are you to the hospital?
A: Noarlunga hospital is a less than 3 minutes’ drive from all my homes.
Flinders medical centre is 15 minutes’ drive away and the local ambulance station is based in Noarlunga.

Q: Are there any scenic walks in your local area?
A: Apart from kilometres of scenic coastline and beaches we have many reserves and walking trails. Take in the scenic esplanade walk and call in for a drink at the sailing or surf club. Walk along the scenic coastal walks or along the banks of the Onkaparinga river. We even have kangaroos in our local reserve!

Q: I am having treatment at Flinders Medical centre. How close are you to this hospital?
A: Flinders Medical centre is a 15 minutes’ drive from all my homes. The southern expressway at the top of Beach road takes you all the way to the hospital without any traffic delays. I have had many guests stay with me whilst undergoing medical treatment, training, and research. We are also the same distance from Flinders university in Bedford Park and have likewise had student stays.

Q: Is port Noarlunga a family friendly suburb?
A: It certainly is! Hundreds of new families have settled here over the past few years.

Q: Are you close to local shops?
A: We are well served by local shops. There are supermarkets, shops, and cafes in Beach Road and in the Port Noarlunga village. The large shopping centre at Noarlunga has a large selection of well-known outlets, shops, eateries, and services.

Q: Do I need a car to get around?
A: Many guests don’t worry with a car as everything you need is within a 15-minute walk. If you would like to explore further down the Fleurieu peninsula or McLaren vale wine region a car will be required.

Q: Do you have taxis and public transport in Port Noarlunga and Christies Beach?
A: The local taxi rank is located at the nearby Noarlunga shopping precinct and a taxi will only be a few minutes away. The Noarlunga centre has a transport interchange (buses and trains) as well and that’s a 15-minute walk from all my homes. Local bus stops are 3 minutes from my homes.

Q: How far are you from the city and how long does it take to get there?
A: We are 27km from the city and travel time does vary depending upon peak times. The southern expressway takes you to within a few km of the city and that’s when you encounter some traffic. Travel time would be between 28 and 35 minutes depending upon the time of day.

Q: I am moving to Adelaide and have work in the city. How long does it take to get to the city on a train and where can I park my car at the station?
A: The Noarlunga train station is a 2-minute drive away. Parking in the park and ride carpark is free and the train trip takes between 28 and 40 minutes depending upon whether you catch a limited stop (express train) or a train that stops at all stations. The Seaford train line has been electrified, has new trains and carriages and the Adelaide railway station is a few minutes’ walk from the oval. There is a free circuit tram that stops right outside the Adelaide railway station.

Q: How busy are your local beaches?
A: We have miles of unspoilt beaches and crowds are never an issue. Port Noarlunga and Christies beach are never crowded even on peak days like New Year.

Q: Is it safe to swim at your local beaches?
A: Our beaches are protected by local life guards with demarcated swimming areas which is great for the little ones. Port Noarlunga beach is protected by a natural reef and is wonderful for swimming. We don’t have the nasty creatures that some of our neighbouring states have in the water and shark attacks don’t happen due to the protected reef.

Q: I would like to stay at one of your pet friendly properties. Can I walk my dog on the local beach and can I let him run free?
A: Only specific properties are pet friendly due to allergies. Local beaches are only 15 minutes’ walk away and 2 minutes away by car. There are different season and rules for dogs on the local beaches. In off peak periods dogs can run leash free during daylight hours but not during summer periods. (need to be on a leash) on Christies and Port Noarlunga main beaches. However, the beaches are big and sections of them allows dogs leash free all year round. The local “dog beach” at O Sullivan’s is leash free all year always and is popular and a great place to socialise and exercise your pets.

Q: Can I clean the property myself and not pay a cleaning fee?
A: I have tried that and unfortunately it doesn’t work too well. I have contract cleaners who clean my homes and pride myself upon having spotlessly clean homes. Incoming guests need to have a consistently clean and well presented property.

Q: I have a boat and enjoy fishing. Are there launching sites locally?
A: There are several launch areas along the coast. The nearest launch, park, wash area is at o Sullivan’s boat ramp which is a 5-minute drive away.
Q: We like to eat out when on holiday. What’s available locally?
A: The list of eateries is extensive depending upon your taste. There is traditional fish and chips in Port Noarlunga, Indian, Greek, and Mexican restaurants and the Port Noarlunga hotel serves great food (and cold beers!) in their restaurant and bar. All are less than 200m from the jetty and beach. There restaurants on the beachfront in both Port Noarlunga and Christies and plenty of choice! Beach Road has numerous restaurants and wine bars for you to try.

Q: We like water sports. What’s available close to your home?
A: The Onkaparinga river mouth exits on Port Noarlunga beach. Canoeing is popular on the river and beach. The local Sea Scouts have their HQ on the river and there are 3 surf lifesaving clubs at Southport, Port Noarlunga, and Christies Beach. The Christies Beach sailing club is popular and the launch site at o Sullivan’s is popular for craft and jet skis.
Port Noarlunga is an aquatic reserve and very popular local diving site.

Q: What’s the fishing like along your coast? Is it allowed from your jetty and is it safe?
A: Our coastline and jetty is safe! The jetty is a very popular spot for anglers as well as miles of coastline. Catches do vary according to season but anglers from throughout Adelaide use the local Port Noarlunga area and the area is relay well supported and popular.

Q: Should I bring my diving gear or can it be hired locally?
A: You are more than welcome to bring it along as we have plenty of space. The Port Noarlunga aquatic reserve is a popular dive site. There are local hire shops if that suits you.

Q: I read that Adelaide gets heatwaves. Are your houses cool and will I be able to sleep?
A: We do get heatwaves during the summer months especially Jan and Feb and they can last a few days. Being close to the ocean is a real bonus for us and temperatures can be 4 degrees cooler or more than other inland areas and the city. The same is true of winters and we are a few degrees warmer during the colder winter months. All my homes have vented aircon systems and you will be fine if you visit during the warmer months.

Q: My son loves sport. What facilities do you have nearby?
A: We have so many facilities all within a few minutes. There’s the Bice oval in the road behind my Christies Beach houses and the Panthers stadium in Noarlunga. There are free tennis courts behind the house, parks, and reserves all within a few minutes’ walk.

Q: We are moving to Adelaide from the UK. Is it easy to sort out our arrival paperwork and can you assist?
A: I have assisted hundreds of new families to settle in Adelaide. Some move here from overseas and others from interstate. If moving from overseas you will find drivers licence forms and proof of address forms in the houses. Medicare is in the Noarlunga precinct and all your admin can easily be sorted in just a few hours. If you need any help…just ask and I will be happy to assist.

Q: I am moving to Adelaide and have never rented before. Can you help with providing me a reference for a long-term rental?
A: I provide references all the time and understand that it’s often difficult to supply rental references. Just provide my phone number to rental agents and I would be happy to help.

Q: My children have skin that burns easily. Is there anywhere for them to swim apart from your poll and the local beach.
A: All my homes provide sun screen. The local Noarlunga leisure centre has indoor pools, swimming classes, aerobic classes etc. They are open until 9 at night and just a couple of minutes away.

Q: Do I need to bring my own bedding and towels?
A: Everything that you need is provided. There is bedding and spare bedding in all my homes plus winter sheets, duvets, and blankets for the colder months. As well as the home towels, there are also beach and pool towels for use outside of the house.

Q: I am arriving on a late flight. How do I get access to the house and will you be able to meet me late at night?
A: The houses all have external combination key safes so that you can let yourself in at whatever time you arrive. I will leave the light on for you!

Q: I am arriving late with young children after a long flight. Will anything be provided when we arrive?
A: All the houses have tea, coffee, sugar, and milk available for your arrival. If you would like me to provide a meal just let me know. We have 24 hours take away (Subway, Mc Donald’s etc) just minutes away if that suits you.

Q: I am worried about all the flight restrictions with liquids. What do you provide at the house?
A: The houses all have body gel, shampoo and conditioner provided so no reason to worry.

Q: I would like to book your home with the pool but have small children. How safe will they be?
A: I have done everything possible to try and keep the little one’s safe. The pool is surrounded by pool fencing and self-closing gates which should never be propped open (there’s a safety sign in the pool area). I have also had a safety net installed that covers the entire pool. Parent supervision is the best defence.

Q: I would like to book for a 10-day period. Can I get a discount for this length of stay?
A: Most guests book for periods of 4 to 12 weeks (relocating from overseas) and I am happy to discuss discounts for these stays. Peak periods (summer) are very busy in Adelaide and my homes are in holiday suburbs which increases their desirability. Discounts for peak periods for short stays are not always possible but please ask for off peak periods.

Q: We are a big family. Every time I go away on holiday I have issues with my daughter using all the hot water! Do you have a big enough tank for our needs?
A: We have plenty of hot water. All the houses have instant gas hot water services so there’s no possibility of hot water running out.

Q: Do you have safe parking for my car?
A: We live in a very safe holiday / family friendly suburb. The houses all have off street parking for 3 vehicles and the smaller cottages have off street secure parking behind roller doors.

Q: I have booked to stay with you for 8 weeks whilst my shipping container arrives. Can I receive mail at the house?
A: All the houses have a mailbox outside the house and you are welcome to receive mail during your stay. Important mail often arrives after you leave and there’s also an extra mail box for you to collect mail from after you have left.
Q: I have very active children! Do you have any toys available at the house?
A: As well as a high chair and camp cot I have a container of toys to keep the children amused. There’s play areas and even a park at some properties and reserves, parks and play centres are situated within a few minutes of all homes.

Q: I have already decided to enrol my children into Port Noarlunga primary school but have been told that it is zoned. Is your home zoned as a feeder area for this school?
A: All my homes are situated within the feeder area for the Port Noarlunga primary school. Port Noarlunga is a popular school with new arrivals and it has been rebuilt with funds from the Nation Building programme.

Q: Is there much for children to do in the local area?
A: The local entertainment precinct at Noarlunga is a few minutes’ walk away. Choose between the local Wallis cinema complex, AMF bowling, laser quest or call into the leisure centre next door for skating, squash, basketball, gyms, or indoor pools.

This place was just what we needed for our stay! It is spacious and accommodating. The second bedroom is very childlike, which was funny considering we were 5 adults! Beds were comfy, private and secure parking was great and all amenities were good. Just good to note that you can't get from the kitchen/living space to the bedrooms (unless you go outside) without going through the bathroom/toilet so will have to coordinate that. Shower water was also fluctuating between hot and cold sometimes which was a bit annoying but besides that there were no dramas!

Thanks so much for deciding to stay with me. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. The cottage is set up for families and I did let you know before you booked what the second bedroom and bed configuration was. I wish that you had let me know about the shower and hot water...I would have contacted a plumber to have a look at the instant hot water (URL HIDDEN) should be constant and that issue frustrates the hell out of me too when I stay away from home! Thank you for highlighting (URL HIDDEN) something that I will now attend to now that I know. It will be sorted the next time you visit!

Tamara contacted me via email and sms a couple of days before we arrived at the location. Everything in the accommodation was as in the photos. The cottage was very clean, spotless n fact, the large room was a huge space and the little ones are very well catered for. The stuffed dog, which was named "Doggie" by the nine year old travelling with us was a huge hit as was the playground which we visited a couple of times. The kitchen was very well stocked had everything we needed and the soap dispensers were a brilliant idea. Overall a genuine pleasure to stay in the cottage and a place we would definitely love to stay in again. Thank you Tamara.

For those who are relocating I am always available to help with any of your needs. If it’s privacy you require this safe, secure, and private self- contained holiday and migrant home is the perfect home down under. I choose to live in the same suburb and can help with sightseeing advice or settling in assistance if required.

About Tamara

Along with my husband, we live in the scenic seaside village of Port Noarlunga. I chose to live in the same suburb as my rental homes! It helped me to settle when I moved here.

We moved to this wonderful place with our daughter and sons. We are originally from the UK. We have interests in travel, athletics and generally exploring this lovely country.
We have had hundreds of families stay in our holiday and relocation homes over the years (since 2009).
Many have been family's making the move out here to Australia.
We do our best to help and advise people in that situation.

My interests include: Boxers ( we had three of this lovely breed), watching our grandchildren at Athletics, music, socializing, films.

Hopefully everyone who stays with us will have an enjoyable and comfortable stay at one of my homes down under!
