A great house to stay in - very short walk to pubs, restaurants and shop. Short drive (or nice 1.5km) walk to a fabulous beach with Lifeguards on duty and kids playground. Good location for exploring North Donegal with Famine village, Malin Head and great beaches. Will definitely be returning

We loved how close the house was to he beautiful beach, football pitches and playground. The house was beautiful and very clean. The back garden was big for the kids to play out in. Was just brilliant

This spaciousness and location of this house were perfect for us. We were here to explore the Inishowen Peninsula and couldn't have been happier in that regard. Be sure to ask for clarification on tricky house issues like the hot water, stove, keys, etc. Also, there is no Wi-Fi nor cable -- so if you are looking to completely disconnect, this is your place. Lovey food and Wi-Fi at McGrory's, walkable just down the road.

Response from Joan:
Hi Houston, Thanks for your feedback. For the benefit of any people interested in booking our house, and to answer some of the points made, I would like to clarify the following points; Myself or my husband are almost always present to greet any people arriving to the house. On the rare occasions we are not able to make it, a friend greets guest. These friends are fully up to date on things mentioned such as the water, cooker etc When we greet guests we are sure to provide them with a fully comprehensive tour of the house, during which time we explain how to use the hot water and stove. They are very simple appliances to use and we are always happy to clear up any confusion, as unlikely as it may be to arise, either during the tour or afterwards via phone (as was the case with Houston). We did provide the tour for Houston and very clearly explained all appliances, and would like to point out that this is the first time any guests have had trouble with this. In relation to the keys I think unfortunately we are at a loss to explain any more clearly the practical elements of using a key and which door it locks and unlocks. Again we have never had a problem with this with any of our guests to date. With all due respect we feel that the house tour is more than adequate in acquainting guests with the house and feel that when previous guests have taken an interest in this information during the tour there have been absolutely no issues. We appreciate the positive feedback in relation to the location, spaciousness and the, as made clear in the specification, lack of Wifi in the house (we feel it is great to switch off on holiday, but as Houston points out there is free Wifi a two minute walk away if the temptation is just too much!). It was a pleasure to meet you and your family Houston and we hope you had a safe journey back to the USA. Best wishes, Joan
