My home is a mix of urban and rural, being close to the City centre yet right next to beautiful countryside and also not far from the Uni, with easy access by bus. Enjoy the gorgeous southerly views from the patio, the ease of access to Bath and the sense of space (and free off-street parking!). The large double room has its own ensuite & a continental breakfast is provided too. We welcome couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, & families (can put kids' beds in the room too if needed).
This spacious room with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room is perfect to relax and unwind in after a busy day sightseeing in the beautiful City of Bath. Or step out the back and take in the 20 mile southerly views from the patio. The room can accommodate children too and I can put up to 2 single beds in the room for your children - just message me to enquire!
The bedroom is located on the first floor.
Keys to the house will be provided so you can come and go as you please.
You also have free access to the landing area for breakfast...or the rear patio, weather permitting!
Interaction with guests
During the week, I often work from home so will probably be around during the day...whilst nipping out on the school run for half an hour at 8.30am and 3pm, and then being taxi service for the children after school. At the weekends, myself and my 2 children will just be going about our normal family stuff. I will take my lead from you as to how much interaction you would like, after all, it's your holiday!
Other things to note
You will be sharing our family home, that's me and my two children. Our living accommodation (and bedrooms) are all on the ground floor so we do not need to come upstairs. And whilst not teenagers yet, the children are old enough to be respectful of your space and not to be disruptive and overly noisy.
We can also accommodate your children on pull out beds if you wish for a small extra charge to cover costs - just message me to enquire. I even have a travel cot, although the house is not toddler proof, but I'm happy to have you to stay if you are comfortable with that.
- No loud music / talking after approx. 9pm (10pm on Fri / Sat!)
- We have wooden floors throughout so please remove outdoor shoes on entering the house, remember to bring slippers if possible!
- I can often be flexible on check-in / check-out time, just message me with your requirements
- Please contact me for children under 2 - a travel cot is available, although I don't have a stair gate or other toddler safety devices so the house is not totally toddler proof, but I am happy to accommodate if you are happy with that
Hi and thank you for looking at my listing.
I've lived in Bath more or less since coming to Uni here all those years ago (!) and have lived in the City through lots of different life stages from student days right up to family life now. I would love to invite you to share my lovely home, where town meets country. We are just a short distance from the beautiful City of Bath but on the edge of gorgeous rolling hills and countryside, with stunning southerly views across the Midford valley. On clear days you can see more than 30 kilometres away!
The house is just a 2 minute walk from the bus stop (number 3, 10-12 minutes into town) or you can take a gentle 30 minute stroll downhill directly into the city centre. A bracing uphill walk back is always good to work off those few calories acquired at some of Bath's fine dining, although a taxi ride back up is only around £7-8.
It really is a perfect location to base yourself whilst exploring our fabulous city, yet being able to have some peace and tranquility to come back to at the end of the day.
