My place is close to art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining, the covered bridge and swimming rocks, the beach (at the General Store), Gatineau Park, and various family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the neighbourhood, the light, and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples (and families/friends into sharing the king size bed), solo adventurers, and business travellers.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Large, quiet, private room on the edge of the village. No A/C but the room is north-facing and has two windows, so stayed cool. Andrew is a welcoming host, the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. A short walk to swimming in the river, hiking, mountain …

Sorry total disaster, a dump. Not worth a penny.

Response from Andrew:
You arrived upon a confluence of my downsides. As such I am sending a full refund. Yes there can be a few (sometimes several) flies in hot muggy weather. They bug us too. We use fly swatters and sticky ribbons to manage it when needed. This is country living. As stated in my description, I practice vermicompost and grow greens inside. My foyer can smell for a bit after I put kitchen compost under the mulch in the barrels. I labor for money. For fun I bushwhack with dogs and bike through mud. Sometimes my outerwear and gear hangs in my foyer. I shall be more conscientious. My place is thoroughly lived in. I had an extra guest and her child's bikes and gear, my girlfriend's dogs (also in my description), and various construction projects in the side yard. It has tidier moments. Yes the building is old. As a renter, I do my best with what I have, and I did my best to describe that in my listing, including accurate pics of the building, parking, staircase and front door to help guests find the apartment, as well as their private and shared rooms. Perception is subjective. From my perspective (and other guests and housemates), I run a tight and tidy ship, albeit shop worn. Sorry to disappoint you. Namaste.

Thanks for a perfect crash pad to explore Wakefield! Andrews place was eco-minimalist which was so nice because everything we might need was easy to find, and we had space to keep our camping gear without feeling cramped in any way. The king sized platform bed was fun and such a …
