Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Absolute beachfront. Quiet beach walks and Kapiti Island views (including awesome sunsets) from this family beach house. Views of the beautiful Tararua Ranges to the East. Safe swimming. Launch a boat from the beach for fishing expeditions. Horse riding hire locally. Short drive to Outlet Shops, boutiques, bush walks, rivers, colourful cafes, galleries and museums. Or in the winter curl up by the open fire with a wine and gaze out to sea. All beds will be made up for guests on arrival.

The space
Te Horo Beach is a small village with permanent residents and holiday homes. Lovely spot for long walks on the beach with occasional stops to chat to friendly locals or visitors. You can also walk on the beach and not come across anyone at times. Many other activities within a short car ride of which more information will be sent to you either before or after you book.

Where you’ll be

Te Horo Beach, Wellington, New Zealand

A quiet neighborhood but very friendly. We share the beach with walkers horseriders (local riding school can take you on the beach horseriding) and locals heading out in their small boats to catch a snapper or two. Lovely walk on the country road (10 minutes) to one of our local highlight spots of the week. Our local 'Bus Stop Cafe' is a must visit for great coffee, home cooking and atmosphere with colourful local proprietor. A very popular spot for locals and visitors (open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9-4pm). Closed public holidays and for a period around xmas, new year.

Hi, I'm Jen (aka Jeanine). My hubby and I have finally moved to Te Horo Beach permanently (to a small piece of land) because we love the laid back beach community and lifestyle here. Soon we will have more family here also. We have been involved with tree growing for many years which we are now winding down so we can spend more time enjoying our life and doing some of the things we like doing like sailing our boat, bush walks and tripping around to see friends in our bus. I also enjoy singing and performing.
