This space is a loft above a three stall horse barn. There is a queen size bed, fold out couch, and single rollaway bed available. The loft is furnished with a large harvest table and chairs, and a cozy relaxing couch. It is an open concept design with room for up to five guests. The farm is a working livestock and organic mixed produce farm with picturesque views, miles of wooded trails, and a beautiful fish pond. ***Farmstays are not hotels***- PLEASE read full description carefully.

The space
Guests can access a refrigerator, microwave, sink with hot and cold water downstairs and upstairs a bathtub and toilet separated from the loft by a curtained alcove. Although the space downstairs is shared with horses, the upstairs is a private room all for our guests and the friendly barn kitties, Minx and Lynx.

A Bale and Breakfast option is available for you and your equine friend. We are happy to accommodate you and your horses for an additional charge. The farm is located about ten minutes north of Palgrave, conveniently close to the equestrian venue.

Guests are welcome to visit our tiny farm gate store. We sell eggs, dairy, meat, seasonal vegetables, soaps, honey, syrup, and jams among other items. If we haven't got what you need, we can probably send you right up the road to another farm that has. Thank you for buying from and supporting small farms!

Where you’ll be

Adjala-Tosorontio, Ontario, Canada

Close to Tottenham, Orangeville, Alliston, and Beeton. We highly recommend Broadway in Orangeville for its many excellent restaurants and fun little shops. Tottenham Steam Train is a family favourite with real working antique locomotives and passenger cars. Hiking trails abound in the area, with Mono Cliffs Park being a short drive away.

My husband and I are organic farmers in Ontario, Canada and Vermont, USA. We are keen to share the healing beauty of farm life with people. We love nature, art, animals, home-grown food, and making new friends.

On our farm, we have horses, chickens, goats, pigs, ducks, honeybees, and turkeys. We grow garden vegetables for sale as CSA shares (Community Shared Agriculture) and at our farm gate stand. We provide retirement board for elderly or injured horses. We are a WWOOF host farm and we enjoy sharing our experience with new farmers and anyone with a passion for organic food.

For more information, find us on social media under Laurenwood Farm.

I feel compelled to add, though it should go without saying: We welcome people from all walks of life, every race and ethnicity, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender, creed, colour, flavour, you name it. We love all of you humans and you are all important to us.

Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon!

During your stay

We would be glad to help guests with any questions or concerns they have during their stay. We live on site. We do not have cell phones but our home phone is listed. We are most often home to greet guests but we are very busy working farmers and sometimes we are running about. If we miss the initial greeting, we will be happy to come say hi and give you a tour as soon as we are able. If we are apt to miss a greeting, we will message and give directions to help you get settled.
