Our B&b is situated on the ground level of our house in the city center by a canal. It has its own entrance, living and sleeping area (please see photos for a better idea as the sleeping area is a cozy nook - with a double bed), a private bathroom. We offer locally sourced breakfast and home baked bread and home made jams. We have a free Wi-fi for our guests and two bikes. We live in a quiet area very close to all the historic touristic attractions and not far from TU Delft and shops.

The space

There is a microwave which can be also used for cooking (please ask for it as it lives in a cupboard), a cooler where you can store your groceries, a coffee plunger, a kettle, cups and plates (plates and cutlery provided upon request); everything you need to make a nice cup of coffee or tea or warm up some food.
We are literally five minutes from the very center of Delft, our house is situated by one of the many beautiful canals.

We offer free Wi-fi and we have two bikes for our guests to use if they wish to explore Delft and its surroundings in a Dutch style. Unfortunately, there is no free parking in the center but we know about a free parking spot about 5 minutes walk from the house. Please let us know in advance you are coming by car so we can either send you directions where to park for free or take you there.

Guest access

The accommodation is completely private as it is situated on the ground floor, with private entrance and bathroom. We live above the accommodation and really love this wonderful compromise of hosting people in our house and yet providing total privacy.

Interaction with guests

We always welcome our guests personally and quite often meet them at the train station. We interact with our guests daily when serving breakfast and we are always available to give direction or tips and have a chat through the day. Stef was born and raised in Delft and knows the city through and through so he can give you lots of advise and interesting tips. We speak Dutch, Czech, English, German, Spanish and French between the two of us.

Other things to note

We have a green policy at place in our accommodation which means that not only all the cleaning products and detergents are eco-friendly but also that we recycle and encourage our guests to do so by providing bin for recycling, we compost green waste, all the food served at breakfast is locally sourced, organic and mostly home-made (we bake bread every morning, I make jams and bake granola), our the teas and coffee which is available for the guest's use is also organic.

We also would like to mention that we have a cat called Nina (Simone) and a lovely little dog Miles (Davis) - neither of them has an access into the accommodation but we would like people who have cat or dog allergy be aware that there is a cat and a dog in the house.

We have never had such friendly and helpful hosts! Katerina and Stef were incredibly kind, accommodating and generous. Communications with them were excellent. They have absolutely mastered the balance of being super friendly, but never overbearing. Our stay in Delft was wonderful; we fell in love with it. Katerina and Stef's place was a perfect cozy nest from which to explore Delft (everything within walking distance) and nearby Rotterdam (20 min by train). The apartment is just as described and shown in the photos. The *sleeping nook* is just that and reminded us of the sleeping boxes we saw at the Rembrandt House Museum in Amsterdam. :) There's a spacious bathroom and a lovely, comfortable sitting room where we enjoyed Katerina's delicious breakfasts every morning. All in all, an absolutely terrific stay. We would highly recommend it to others ... and we hope to return some day.

A wonderful place to stay. Such a short walk to everything in Delft. Close to the train station. Looks out in a canal. Katarina and Stef make a delicious breakfast for you in the morning. The place was clean, safe, quiet, easy to get to, and homey. Highly highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at Katerina and Stef's wonderful little apartment! Everything was as described on the listing. It is in a quiet, beautiful part of Delft yet still very close to the main square and market areas which we loved! It was such a pleasure to communicate with Katerina by email, as well as during our stay. Both her and Stef were very helpful, providing us with information when we were there. We borrowed the bikes available one day and had a marvelous time! Breakfast was delicious, always served promptly and the poached eggs perfect! Katerina was very kind in being flexible with our check in and check out times. We feel lucky to have have experienced the warm hospitality at Katerina and Stef's in Delft!

The neighbourhood and location are amazing. Delft is beautiful and this flat is really right on a canal. Katerina was very friendly and helpful. There were numerous beautiful antiques all over the apartment and the "nook" bed was big and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer in Delft and I would certainly recommend this place to others.

Katerina made every effort to accommodate our arrival time, even to the point of leaving a private event to welcome us. Her and Stef are very friendly and provided a wonderful experience for us in Delft. Make sure you ask Stef about his sculptures - they are nothing short of incredible. The breakfast was fantastic, and the location in the old city was perfect. Upon leaving we decided that we had not spent enough time in Delft and that we would have loved to stay at Katerina's a few more nights.

Steph and Kat are extremely warm, generous and welcoming hosts. When the train pulled in to Delpht on that rainy day in May, Steph was waiting for our arrival. He walked us through the streets and was already busy pointing out historical highlights to us. We stayed four night in this cozy bed and breakfast. The space is impeccable, beautifully designed and absolutely spotless. Each morning Kat and Steph delivered a large wooden tray laden with freshly baked breads, home made jams and granola, free range eggs and local cheeses. They are committed to ensuring your full enjoyment and appreciation of this lovely Dutch town. We would highly recommend this gorgeous spot on the edge of a quiet canal to any traveller seeking a small town experience in Holland.

I am from the Czech republic but moved to Delft two year ago to join my partner Stef to live, welcome people to our house and create art together. Stef is a sculptor and I work with wool, we are both lovers of nature, good food, people and art.
