Full Disclosure: I am friends with Jeremy and Katrina. That said I had no idea what I was in for. Yeah, you can make certain assumptions from the photos and description but the true beauty is not something that can be accurately described with just words. The desert beauty is wonderful during the day and spectacular at night. Yes the accommodations are "a tent" but you are definitely not roughing it. The room is furnished with everything one would need; a memory foam mattress, an incredibly comfortable couch, a gas furnace for the cold nights and other amenities that make it incredibly comfortable. I'm sure I'll be criticized for using this word but this is "glamping" at its best. I can't wait to go back and stay longer so I can truly absorb the beautiful environment and everything both the desert and Jeremy and Katrina's beautiful Cultus camp has to offer.

Where can we even begin? "Cultus Camp" was quite simply amazing, and hosts Jeremy and Katrina could not have been more accommodating. Jeremy and Katrina were there to meet my wife Michelle and I upon our arrival and to provide a personal and informative tour of the property. We quickly realized there was a third gracious host of "the Camp" and that was the Mojave Desert itself in all of its wondrous mystique. It was an incredible setting for a couple of San Diego city slickers new to the "glamping" scene, and any words I try to use here to describe the sheer beauty of this special place will not do it justice... you simply have to experience it for yourself. We found the camp to be extremely clean from the outdoor shower, to the two separate bathrooms, to the fully equipped kitchen that contained all of the amenities any future guests would need to prepare a desert feast if they were so inclined. Most importantly for my wife and I was the cleanliness of the "tent", if you can even refer to it as such, and we were not disappointed: clean sheets, clean pillows and pillow cases, clean blankets, and a clean floor (quite an accomplishment in our opinion given the dusty environs of the surrounding desert!). The tent itself was sturdy and provided plenty of indoor space to simply enjoy and take in the deafening silence. The tent's cover provided more than enough protection from the early May sun (highs ranged from the low 80s to upper 90s during our stay), and the indoor heating unit that Jeremy and Katrina have provided did more than enough to keep us warm at night (lows were typically in the low 40s during our stay). My wife and I prepared for chilly nights with long sleeved sleeping attire but realized that it really wasn't needed after our first night's stay. The bottom line is if any future guests are concerned with the temperature control or cleanliness of the tent, they shouldn't be. If we had to offer up any criticisms whatsoever it would be the proximity of the bathrooms to the tent for those late night calls of nature, however, an extremely small price to pay when given the opportunity to experience nature herself in this truly unique place. If you're looking to just "get away" - Cultus Camp will not disappoint. Our footsteps left their marks in the sand around the camp... little did we know how much the camp and the Mojave would leave their marks on our very souls. Our stay was quite literally a trans-formative experience and we can not wait to get back. We wish Jeremy, Katrina, and any future guests to Cultus Camp the very best. P.S.: Don't forget to look up at night...

Everything positive that has already been written is 100% true. My girlfriend and I had a hunch we wouldn't want to leave at all, so brought groceries and did just that. A perfect place to unwind, take in the desert, and just be. The specific location of Cultus and angle of the property truly make you feel like the entire valley and mountain range is yours and yours alone. Jeremy specifically has first- percentile emotional intelligence and communication skills which lead to a delightful and relevant check-in process. Place is truly unique and special - if you look for places to inspire you, look no further. They had a vision, they built it, and we can all now reap the benefits. Thanks so much!!!!!

Cultus Camp is probably one of the best AirBnb's I've stayed at. It is really unique and very picturesque. [Super Instagram-worthy, if you're into that.] You will be surrounded by desert and Joshua Trees (very secluded). During the day, we hiked and rented quads. At night, you are a less than 10 min drive to Pappy and Harriets. You can also choose to stay in and bbq under the stars. We went during a meteor shower and got to experience it the zero light pollution! On top of this, Jeremy and Katrina are great hosts! They are responsive, nice and very helpful! We cant wait to come back again!

A glamper's paradise in the Joshua tree strewn desert of Pioneertown. The scenery is so good you might catch yourself staring. Great for a few days away from the urban sprawl of LA (or whatever planet you hail from). Can't wait to drop by again, put my feet up and think of nothing...

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful location! Pipes Canyon is a magical mix of high dessert and mountains, and Jeremy and Katrina have protected the stand of Joshua Trees surrounding the area and built out a collection of structures that compose your own private compound. Enjoy and revere this unique landscape and wonderful property. Note that it is an off grid tent structure - free of cell service! - read their guidelines and recommendations carefully so you come prepared.
