Our character home is in the quiet residential heart of Kitsilano. The basement suite is garden-level and well lit. It's a cosy and peaceful space equipped with a full functional kitchen, living room and large bedroom. We are just 2 blocks away from public tennis courts, and a 5 minute walk to the beach, Kits pool and shopping. The nearby bus stops can take you directly downtown or UBC in less than 20 minutes.

The space
Our well loved character home is over 80 years old, and located on a quiet street in Kits. In our friendly and community-minded neighbourhood, there is close access to local shopping on West Broadway or West 4th, parks, beaches, and bike trails. There are many bus options just a few blocks away to get downtown, UBC or across the city.

The space is garden-level, with 7-feet high ceilings in most of the suite and some light throughout (If you are very tall, this is not be the best for you as you might bump your head in an area of the suite!). The door opens into a basic kitchen (no dishwasher) and a farm house breakfast counter. In the living room, a comfy couch and chair are perfect for reading, relaxing or visiting. There is a TV with the most commonly used stations (and SportsNet as well for you hockey fans). A small table can be used for dining or working. In the large bedroom, a queen size futon topped with a memory foam overlay and freshly laundered duvet will ensure you sleep comfortably.

We live upstairs and are available to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We welcome guests immunized against COVID-19 as we are as well, and want to ensure everyone's safety. Please note that we only rent to non-smokers and non-vapers (This is an absolute rule and is not negotiable).

Although the regular check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is 10 am, if the house is empty before your arrival and/or no one is coming directly after you, we are happy to let you arrive early and/or depart late.

Guest access
There is a private entrance on the side of our house. We will make arrangements for you to have access to the code in advance of your check-in. Access is limited to the suite.

Other things to note
Please note that we only rent to non-smokers and non-vapers. This is a strict rule. This includes tobacco, vaping and cannabis products.

Neighbourhood highlights

We live in the best part of Kits. A quiet block, close to a park and public tennis, 5 minutes away from the bike path that will take you along the beaches or down town, and within minutes of easy transit routes to more action. A 15 minute walk will take you to the trendy shops of West 4th, and within 5 minutes, you can get all your local groceries. We are lucky to be within walking distance of Parthenon Foods, a great Greek deli, and Young Brothers, the cheapest and freshest produce store on West Broadway. In Kits, there is a multitude of Yoga studios, sushi restaurants, local businesses like Fresh is Best, the very best Mexican deli, and Solly's Bagels. We live here because we can walk every where.
