Come stay in our beautiful heritage home (built in 1770) located in the quaint village of Grand Pre, known for its charming vineyards and rich Acadian history. If a quiet, retreat setting surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty and with tons of fun and interesting things to do at your fingertips, is what you're looking for, then this is the place for you!

The space
Our historic home has a long history of welcoming travelers. Run for 20 years as a very successful 4 room Bed and Breakfast, we are now "re-opened" as an Air BnB. In its colorful past, our home has been a grocery store, a guest house (featuring the renowned guests of Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan), a farmhouse, and Planter home. We have tried to capture the essence of history and comfort in our rooms. Our rooms are both very quiet and private, overlooking the gardens below. Each room features a queen bed with a new, pillow-top mattress, antique furniture, and a private en suite 3 piece bathroom. A common bar fridge and coffee/tea bistro is available for your convenience.
During the summer months the rooms stay comfortable with both an in-window exchange fan and a remotely operated standing room fan.

Guest access
We offer our guests a cozy sitting room, outdoor patio table, lawn chairs, and a complimentary coffee and tea bar. We invite you to enjoy our lawns and gardens surrounding the house. Take a coffee or glass of wine out to the patio table and watch the magnificent panoramic sunsets over Grand Pre or view beautiful Cape Blomidon from a lawn chair in the peaceful backyard.

Other things to note
Self serve coffee and tea are always available for you.
We keep a stock of ice-cubes in our kitchen freezer.
There are no pets in the house.

Tim and I are delighted that you are considering staying in our historic home surrounded by so much natural beauty, rich history, and wonderful community. Our home is very peaceful and quiet and yet so close to so many lovely attractions of the area. Our house is set back from the road and so the garden is a haven to a variety of local and migratory birds. You feel in the country but not far from town. Our home is located in the very quaint, historic village of Grand Pre, known for the National Historic Site, breathtaking views, and charming wineries and boutiques. We are only a 5 minute drive from Wolfville, NS - a charismatic town home to Acadia University, The Devour Food Film Festival, The Canadian Deep Roots Music Festival, and Valley Harvest Marathon, to name only a few events. We both work full-time during the day (someone will always be here to greet you) and always enjoy sharing delights of the area or swapping travel tales (being avid travelers ourselves). We hope to meet you soon!
